I have noticed that some of the best disc golfers in the country frequent this forum, yet the Throwing Techniques section is dead.
What gives?

Good question. Most of us learn by doing. It's sometimes really hard to explain certain points/aspects/techniques in text.....like getting the disc up high while keeping the nose down. :D That's my take on it.
I'd rather spend a few minutes with the player than try to type it all out and hope that it's interpreted the way i meant it to be.

Haha! Doncha think Dave would rather have his brain picked about technique...than to have (to try :D) to remember what color a disc or hotstamp was 5 years ago? :D

head on down to your local driving range...get a bucket of balls....then ask the club house pro to give you some FREE pointers and let me know how that goes :D

I hope that DG pros never become the money grubbing whores that the ball golf pros are...
Harvey Penick was one of the prolific ball golf teachers in history and did not charge for many of his lessons.
Bobby Jones never charged.
I have given hours and hours of free lessons at the driving range. I would also not hold most driving range "pros" opinions in very high regard.

Well, let's meet up at the driving range and see if you can help me get rid of my slice.

I live off Sherrill Park Golf Course.
I have a range card. Anytime.
Of course, if the pros (who all know me) see me teaching, they threaten to ban me. The only people allowed to teach there are pros (of course). Since I never charge, I tell them to shove it.
