Hey gang...

I asked Nez to check with our hosting service regarding the crappy performance of our website and message board today.

The hosting service is reporting that they have an "overloaded" server that we are being hosted from. They are working to correct it, and should have us back up to snuff by tomorrow.

Although it's taking me about 5 minutes to load up the main page, it takes an additional 8 minutes to bring up the discussion board stuff. Who's got the patience for that???

Hopefully, we'll be better tomorrow.

Not much of an improvement yet, eh?

I will continue to monitor it...

Look like on Feb.3 a group of people from Austin and a group of people from San Antonio will be making their way to Victoria to practice for the Victoria Open, so if you feel like playing Disc Golf this Saturday let all meet in Victoria. We will be leaveing San Antonio around 8 am that morning. :D

I had problems getting it to come up this afternoon, but it came up ok most of the time.

I'll see about lodging a complaint to the hosting service if I see it again.

The Texas Womens Championship 2007 is April 21 & 22; we are interested in Texas club participation of this event. In the past clubs sponsored with merchandise and with man power. We want to see this continue. We want to challenge each club to send the most women from their area. We are trying to break the women only attendance record and what better place than Texas. We can use volunteers to escort, disc golf merchandise for ctps, a Texas size player packs, and anything surrounding lady golf. Something I would like to see our club sponsored girly stations. The club could pick a hole to set up a canopy with water, face wipes, candies and club hospitality towards the players.
The question is not if you are interested, but how you are interested in help.
Contact myself or Ed Coffey to work out the logistics. This is our ladies weekend. So lets honor them with our support! Let us know your ideas, we maybe the tournament directors, but the event is Texas owned.

HFDS is in for sponsorship. We can most easily sponsor with cash, but we might have some excess States inventory if you're interested in that as well.

We'll accept your challenge of sending the most women to Round Rock!
