I'm looking for information or assitance with course mapping, I really like google satelite maps. I've seen some maps done this way. I'd like to map out the courses I've installed. Thanks in advance.

I'm having a problem getting my maps to work in MSIE, but they work in Nescape and Firefox.

Thanks slinger, it is a great site. I'm looking for a template or the like that I could use myself. Plus hard to believe he'll make a roadtrip to Joisey. :D

If you do not have access to a GIS or know someone with GIS, you should use the above resource. His maps look great, I actually thought about going into Disc Golf Mapping as a side business, but it looks like he beat me to it.

I mapped a new disc golf course we built in Iowa City with a GPS receiver, and then I created the course map in Arcview (a GIS program). I mapped the boundaries of each hole, the paths, baskets and tees. The GPS gave me accurate distances for the holes within a few feet.

There are other options for creating maps using GPS and online mapping programs, but the results are not as good.
