I'm looking for any information about the courses near Fort Collins. I will be out that way at the end of the year and want to play the best golf I can find in the area. I'm willing to travel to Denver if need be for the best golf.

Thanks,
Matt

Edora Park, right in Fort Collins! http://pdga.com/course/courses_by_city.php?id=118 One of my favorite courses because that's where I learned to play back in the early '90's. Although, back then it was in the pre-Spring Creek flood configuration! Eventhough I'm down in the Denver area now, I still play it quite often since my in-laws live in Fort Collins. In fact, I'll probably be playing it during the holidays. When will you be there? Who knows, maybe me and/or some of the Northern Colorado DGC guys could come out and meet you for a round or two. Check out the NCDGC site ( http://nocodiscgolf.com ) or the MHDGC site ( http://www.milehighdiscgolf.org ) and post on the forums if you want some company...

Guess I should have mentioned that if you want to come to Denver to play the courses here, DEFINITELY post on the MHDGC site if you want someone to throw with. Lots of really cool players in the area that would welcome a visitor. We also have a Winter Warriors doubles series in full effect. This Saturday (12/23) at Paco Sanchez http://www.pdga.com/course/courses_by_city.php?id=2484 and next Sunday (12/31) @ Exposition Park http://www.pdga.com/course/courses_by_city.php?id=1755 . $5 to get in, $1 for ace pool, $1 for CTP. Lots of FUN!

I second all that, Edora is a great course. And if you're coming to Denver play Badlands or Paco Sanchez and post on the milehighdisgolf.org site when and where and I'm sure you will have someone to show you the course. If you can make either of the doubles on Saturday there is always a great group and it's a fundraiser for local food banks so it's a great cause as well. Jan. 1 will be a group 40+ at Expo too.
(and bring warm/dry clothes/boots-think ski clothes- because I bet most of this snow sticks around for a while)

Where do you usually play in OKC? I'm from OKC/Norman. I learned to play several years ago at Will Rogers. I also played Griffin Park in Norman in October when I went home for the OU/CU football game, that is a really fun course!

good luck and travel safe,

Thanks for the posts, fellas. I didn't end up playing any golf since there was a bit of snow on the ground. My girlfriend's family lives there though so if I get out that way this summer, I'll be sure and post again and we'll try and play some.

I usually play Dolese here in OKC.

I played Dolese by myself a few years ago in light rain during the summer. It was only posts when I lived there so I never played it. I would love to play that course more often, it seems to have a lot of challenges.

If you REALLY want to play now, bring ribbon, and LOTS of clothes. The highs are supposed to be in the single digits, teens, then moving towards freezing for the next week. We will still be at Loo Miller in Longmont at 10AM Saturday for Winter Warriors doubles (no wimps, no whiners--it's an Ice Bowl fundraiser). The tee pads are cleared at Expo in Aurora and Edora in Ft. Collins. Otherwise there is still pretty much a foot of snow everwhere but it is now crusty so discs don't really break through too far.
