Word has it that Winthrop's coach is bring several hundred yards of yellow rope to put out on the court and so many shooting areas will become OB. If he sets it up right his player's sweet spots will be some of the only spots you can shoot from without being OB. This will certainly increase their chances. To finance Winthrop' s Tourney expenses they are selling a new CE Roc type disc called the "Brick" word has it that the coach won't let his players throw any "Bricks" though. I read it all in the ECU paper.

Too bad that they dont hold that into account maybe they should give them a 20 point lead at the beginning of the game to make it fair.

Someone had almost a perfect bracket last year on some website - they would have won millions of dollars. I think they only got one or two games wrong.

There is 1 guy on Yahoo Sports Pick-Em with a perfect bracket so far. They picked all 32 games right. Either it is Biff from Back to the Future or they can see things no one else can. All I can say is ROCK, CHALK, LONG WALK home.

The athletic boosters and the dopey segment of Illini Nation have a long memory, but it must be a selective one, as they always forget that the NCAA did uncover other recruiting violations in their investigation. Arizona didnt give up on anything.Illinois' defense picked it up a notch, forced turnovers, and DROPPED BOMBS.Deron Williams showed the world who the best guard in the country was.Arizona was probably the toughest team in this tournament, with how hot they were playing. { Maybe Washington, another team I didnt talk smack about because it was going to be war} If you honestly can say that UNC will play any tougher than Arizona did you are a [*****]. As I told Mccoy, no Salim no win. Why? Cuz hes a chucker. His "unorthodox" style is garbage.He was shut down all night by tough defense and his teammate didnt execute on the final play when he could of came through.Arizona never quit and Dee Browns almost game blowing turnover with seconds left was proof. Well RJ, Id have to use my math skills.If Michigan St. beats UNC { God willing} then we will have 2. In short my reponse was as such due to the fact that flyinhigh seems to think that AZ sat on the floor indianstyle while Illinois ran up and down the court and did gimmee layups. AZ did not play well down the stretch, but the Illini still had to score, and get stops, and get steals. It's not like AZ was putting the ball in the basket for them. And yes it does take HEART to can a three pointer with a guy in your face that will decide your ENTIRE season!!!! To answer your question, my pal Madtown may not be the next great basketball mind (not that he ever claimed he was in the first place). He has, however, proven himself capable of rational thought, as have the scant few posters who have said, "UNC will win it all, and here's why..." or "Illinois is the team to beat for these reasons..." That same capacity for rational thought is clearly lacking amongst the many "Illinois haters," the legions of "ACC flag wavers," and the creepiest segments of Illini nation. Believe me, there are plenty of mouthbreathing dopes in Illini country.
