Flights are less than $500 from Houston to London right now, on multiple airlines. I look forward to seeing some details on the event - perhaps a flight to the UK is in order!

Yep best time of the year for the US to fly out to the UK, if you're looking at extended stays etc i'm sure we can help out with travel plans, i can also arrange extended stays at the campus hotel, just ask away with any questions and if you manage to win we are hoping the winner will take at least $900 like the last time we hosted, hopefully though this year we can double that figure and really make it worth the trip

Flights from Detroit start at $252 (plus taxes). I'll see what I can do to get a group of MI golfers out there. I love this course...

BTW, Congrats on your first ace Tim!! Is that american currency in this photo? I didn't know Five bucks was the international rate for aces :D:D

Hi Scott,

You're always welcome over here, perhaps next year you can crush your PB, i can't wait to see if anyone can shoot in the 40's  on our course.

If you shoot rounds with Americans, you gotta take their cash :Dand his 5 bucks looked better than the british coinage i would have got and spent.

I forgot to tell everyone, the British Open is a 2007 USDGC Qualifier

Registration opens this Friday at 1800 GMT, first pay, first play basis and only 90 spots available...

The British Open will be sanctioned as an A-Tier and i am aiming to build the pro purse to $10,000 and exceed our payout the last time we hosted the Open in 2005. John Dorn is yet again supporting the British Open and has produced the official artwork, I will be getting some very special and very limited discs stamped with this artwork, i'll keep you posted on that as the time gets closer, but for now here is Johns artwork, he's a Star.

The sun shone all weekend

The results are now fully on the tour page and i would like to congratulate the 29th & 2007 British Open Disc Golf Champion, Fellow TD and slave to the sport, the one and only.... Fernando Brown.

Fernando shone through every round, battling it out with the top players in Europe and enjoying the sun at the oldest basket course in England at the University of Essex.

Carrie 'Burl' Berlogar won the Open Womens in style, carrot top socks in attendance :D

Christer Kohler won the Masters, Magnus Petersen won the Advanced Am division and an up and coming Dutch Player won the Junior division and would have placed 5th in the adv am div

USDGC Spots went to Fernando Brown, Christian Sandstrom, Timo Pursio, Anders Sward, Christer Kohler and Espen Mokkelgjerd, good luck.

I would like to thank our sponsors, Discraft, Innova, Twisted Flyer, Revolution, Structure Skateboards, Primo Plastic, Disc Zoo, UnderPar Disc Golf, Disc'n Dat, Disqman, Discwing, Double Eagle, Quarry Park Disc Golf, The Rivera family, John Dorn for his wonderful artwork and everyone that supported us and that bought a disc , without which this tournament couldn't have happened, a big thank you.

I would also like to thank all the help that was put in by selfless good golfers and family alike, you pitched in, smiled, laughed and help me put on the British Open, i am very grateful for all the good work you did over the weekend, the show rocked and you made that happen :cool:lastly but not leastly, the weather, it ROCKED:eek: if i had the money, i couldn't have ordered better for the time of the year :)

Lastly, i would like to wish all players the best of the luck on the 2007 PDGA EuroTour, next stop the Easter Open in Belgium .
