Winter Park Disc Golf Club in Kewaunee WI will be hosting an Ace Race on Saturday October 14th. (Terry has run a few of these ace races before)

You get two discs (prototypes that Discraft is judging for production), a hat, and a Supercolor mini for only $20. There will be an additional ace pool for cash. Grand prize package for the event is worth over $300.
I know it may be stretching it for some, Kewaunee is about 25 minutes straight east of Green Bay, right on Lake Michigan, about 2.5 hours northeast of Token Creek.
For those unfamiliar with the event, the object is to throw only for aces (or metal). We are running this as an intro to the course for those who have not played it yet. We will play short tees, shortened holes, and 7 temporary holes. The tournament itself will be very laid back and casual. It shouldn't take very long, there will be plenty of time for doubles or glow disc afterward too on the regular course. We're just going to hang out at the park all day long and throw some discs. We'll have grills, food, and beverage going all day.
Mid Oct is an absolutely perfect time to play Kewaunee. The views from on top of the hill will be full with the color of turning leaves across the river valley. And the course plays right along the Kewaunee River and the fisheries facility - right during the heart of the salmon run.
