There will be two rounds and four divisions; Open, Advanced, Intermediate, and Women. Everyone has been asking about singles events at Emerald Isle, now's the chance. </font>

I would prefer it to be on a Saturday versus a Sunday. I do a lot of sailboat racing on Sundays and may or may not be able to make it.

The sails would provide a pretty large object to throw around! If the disc lands in the boat is it in-bounds or out of bounds?

There does not need to be a novice division. Novice is uncompetitive, and tournaments are for people who want to compete. If someone is novice they can play intermediate. If they get wasted they can practice, get better, and come back and play intermediate.

Admiral Gomez can play open. Whoever is running the tournament sets the rules, that is about the only da.mn benefit of running a tournament. If you don't like it, Kevin, than don't come play. Simple.

Well ................I played last night at Emerald and Chris Givens stepped up and played in the A pool. And he played good !!!!

Yes, I'll be there tonight defending my -13, so you have a chance to break my record for doubles...Of course you can try every Sunday for the rest of the year though.

What tees with the Intermediate division play from?

Intermediates will play the longs with the exception of hole 3; they will play the medium pad. The advanced and open will play all long pads. Scot will address the layout for the ladies.

There is no pre-reg, although we are thinking about it, just show up at the appropriate time.

The advanced players tee off 15 minutes before you do, so show up 15 minutes before tee time and you can meet each one individually.

Skip traced the email when you signed up for Intermediate and it came back as an IP address from Pacific Beach.

I love all the baggers in the INT division i see 3 people over the 914 rating limit.

EVERYONE in intermediate above the 914 limit (when the ratings update on 9/19) will be moved up to advanced. anti-bag is in full effect.

I just wanted to run an idea by everyone. I was interested in finding out if anyone would be interested in a possible fundraiser to support nexts years EIEIO?

My idea, I can get RAH Disc Golf, Kangaroo Kreations, MystoShapes and Holemann Surf Design to donate some prize discs for this weekend for some additional CTP holes or a putting contest during lunch.

Some ideas for fundraisers
CTP $1 per person, hole 1.
Putting contest at lunch $1 per person.
Ace Contest at lunch $1 per person.

All the fundraiser prizes would be donated by RAH DISC GOLF, KANGAROO KREATIONS, MYSTOSHAPES and HOLEMANN SURF DESIGN. All the proceeds would benifit next years EIEIO!

If anyone thinks this would work this weekend please let me know and I will be sure to have at least 2 prizes for this weekend.

After really looking at this photo I can see how Gomez generates all his snap and distance. Look really close at his left hand and you will see he is getting ready to snap his fingers. I always wondered how he got that incredible pop! Now thanks to some high speed photography, it is clearly visible.

I am going to start practicing that technique this week so I am ready for vegas!

I always wondered why Gomez wasn't left with bloody stumps for finger tips after that incredible pop. Now I find out it's all a hoax!

The other thing I was noticing in Gomez's cover photo is how hard his toes on his front foot are pressed into the tee pad. That has to have something to do with his accuracy.

So we have the powerful left hand finger snap for distance and the right foot toe press for accuracy. Also a nice bent elbow technique to round it out.

I have a lot to practice now.

I was looking at Donny's photos to see what I could gain from them. I realized that putting is all in the mind. If you look at Donny's left hand, you can see that he has already flashed a "V" for victory, as he is releasing the disc. Even looks like a little fist pump as it stays in the basket.
