Yes any woman that can make it to this event, DO IT!! It is always a great time! The TD, Mike Batka, has been working hard to increase the number of women playing this tourney. Last year, the first 5 women to pre-reg received a personalized, autographed disc from Juliana. Additionally, the winners of the women's divisions received paid entries into the USWDGC. This year, Mike promises more for women, including a free drawing in which one woman each day will receive her entry fee back!! Aside from all the extras for women, this tourney has a fat player's pack, tons of CTPs, a huge payout, and the best raffel I have ever been to! Anyone who played last year all agree that Wham Bam Thank You Am is a fun tourney and worth every dollar. I'd encourage any woman who is interested to pre-reg. The tourney will fill!

Carla's right! This is an awesome tourney for women (and guys too). Mike does everything he can to support women golfers and to make their tourney experience pleasant. I'm pretty confident that this will be a record-breaking year for women at WBTYA!

Thanks for the kind words ladies. A handful of women have already registered. Again, I'd love nothing more than to see 25-30 women out there this year.

Here's more info about this year's event. Players packages include two different custom stamped discs (an Innova disc in their new STAR plastic and a Discraft disc in their Elite-Z or new ESP plastic). Over $1,000 worth of sweet CTP prizes will be given away. The trophies are fantastic. $50 will be added to the ace pool each day (last year's sole ace earned someone over $230). The tournament raffle has over $2,000 worth of great prizes including at least 4 baskets!!! And to top it off, the best part is that there will be 180 disc golfers there!!!

I forgot to mention that Lightning Golf Discs is sponsoring an awesome putting contest. Each player gets a shot during lunch or while final scores are being calculated. The winner gets a brand new DB-5 portable basket from Lightning!

Also, this year's custom stamped discs will include the newly released Elite-Z Surge from Discraft.

Less than 3 weeks out, registration has picked up considerably so don't delay. Check out http://www.s-curvediscgolf.com for more information including online registration.

Did you know that this will be the third largest sanctioned amateur tournament in the world this year behind only Bowling Green and Am Worlds (to the best of my knowledge and assuming a full field)? A big field means big points which help players qualify for the 2007 Am Worlds up in Milwaukee.

Check out http://www.s-curvediscgolf.com for more information and to register.

Hey Ladies, WBTYA is this weekend! I promise that you will enjoy every part of this event (except maybe those 2 ft missed putts!)
I will give two brand new discs to any woman who plays the tourney and does not have a good time (I'll know if you aren't telling the truth!) I'll be at the tourney both days, so I will give you those discs on the spot.

Don't forget, there will be a free drawing in which one woman will receive her entry fee back EACH day!!

See you this weekend!

The forecast calls for sunny skies with highs in the low 70s. About 100 players have already registered, but there are still plenty of spots left. Online registration is available at http://www.s-curvediscgolf.com through Friday afternoon. Players may register at the event if spots are still available.

Great tourney, Mike! I can't speak for the other women, but I had a blast! You run your events with such class. Thanks for all your hard work. Please pass a word of thanks to all your volunteers. They definately helped the event run smoothly! 2004 - 2 women. 2005 - 13 women. 2006 - 18 women. 2007 - 30 women? Word is out that you run a great tourney for women!
