So Michael, you made me famous /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
I was in the hospital 1 day.The doc.wanted me to stay for atleast a week but I don't like hospitals that much.I also believe in selfhealing and the best place to do that is,at home. The doctor said that I have a lung emboly and a thrombose leg.It use to be real bad but now I can breath again and today I played a round for the first time.I missed about 6 putts from within 30 feet but was happy that I could play.My so called heavy disease...I don't believe in it!I am also not taking any medication.I think my body is a little hospital and can take care of any disease. If my leg swells up like a melon again,or I can't breath, then I might think about taking bloodthinners. All what I need is some rest and some good food.Any discgolf girls who can cook and want to stay in beautiful Rotterdam?(or guys)
Anyway,happy new everything.

Let's just say that you are now MORE famous!
I am glad to hear you are back home. At least take a daily aspirin if you don't take anything else, all us masters need to take our bloodthinners. Besides, do what you have to so that you don't miss Worlds this year. The Netherlands needs to represent.
I will be in the sunny Netherlands again around the middle of March. I see by the schedule that you have an event scheduled and the Austrian Championships are about the same time.
What are the chances of a road trip to Austria or anywhere else???
All the best
Michael
So Michael,I had to go to the hospital again. My left leg swoll up like a melon :confused:They wanted me to stay again because they had discovered something scary?in my left lung. They weren't completly sure what it was but it was better if I stayed there...just in case. But I hate hospitals so I declined the offer.I learned how to inject myself(sat there for 10 minutes before I decided to put a needle in my belly...weird,but I didn't feel a thing). And they gave a sock, from my left pinky toe to my groin muscle.also very weird.
Now I am home again and feel alot better.I do have to do the whole medication trip now. This means, bloodthinners for 6 months and a leg sox for 2 years(?).I hope that they have different colors with those sox?I might dye them.Anyway,I did sign up for that tournament in Belgium. This is in April. That course is killer. And everybody sleeps in a castle, right there by the course. Also, all the best players from Europe are there(North and South,East and West)This is the best tournament+course of Europe. But I hope that my body will be back in shape. So traveling to Austria by car?The way you drive? That is too far! It would be fun to go(nighttrain)because it is one of the first International tournaments ever! But I doubt that I go.My body has to get back in shape first.
I guess that is it.Bye,see you in March?

Glad to hear you are doing well Arthur, but you need to listen to your doc as well. They didn't read all of those books for nothing. Take care of yourself and I hope to see you soon.

Hee Brian, wassup?Ok ok,I had to go to the hospital again cuz'my leg swoll up again. They also thought I had something scary looking in my left lung and wanted me to stay again.I declined but I could only do that if I was willing to learn to inject myself with the bloodthinners. After sitting there for 10 minutes, looking at my belly and the needle,I decided to putt it in.Weird /msgboard/images/graemlins/ooo.gif but I didn't feel a thing. So they let me go again and now I have been injecting myself(and it hurted 2 days in a row/must have hit a vain?)and am also taking a whole bunch of bad pills.Tomorrow I have my blood checked again.Another needle up my vain I also am wearing a big sock or leg thing. It goes all the way up.I am supposed to wear that for 2 years.
Today was a good day.I played some chess and won.I put up a basket in my livingroom and did some 16 footer putts.I walked some but that was still hard. The way I see it,I still have 2,5 months to get in shape because I am going to that kick #$*&$! course and tournament in Belgium. And it doesn't really matter how I will play aslong as that I can play! That tournament was filled within 72 hours and there is allready a huge waiting list.Pretty hard course and you sleep in a castle.Need I say more?
take it easy and thanks for the care,
Love Arthur

So here we are again. One year later....
my disease is gone.I quit with the pills after 6 months.Same as with the medical sock.
I have no problems anymore.. yes,my body is still a little weak and I quit with tabacco and 420.
But I feel pretty good.
Now all I have to do is get my rating up to the 975 cuz' it dropped somewhat...
Happy New Year everybody(mine can't be much worse) :D

Hi guys(and girls...?), Thank you all.
I wish I had a job so that I could do some travelling.
But that is also due for this year.
I finally can make some plans again!
A job is one of the priorities.
A drivers licence is also on the list(don't really need one over here...)
Getting totally back in shape/playing better discgolf/getting my ballgolf permission/doing more meditation/cleaning my house/selling my collection are also a few of my goals....
Which,to me, is quit alot!
It is weird but when you are hit with something that can kill you, life kinda goes faster and slower too.I am not sure if anybody knows what I am talking about... but the disease is there and it stays there for awhile(so life goes slower) but the realisation that you can die but you don't want too(then life goes real fast).
So now I have to get back into a,sort of, normal pattern.
Going to bed at a normal time instead of at whatever time I wanted.
Look at one job every day instead of playing Tiger Woods untill 5 am....
And still I have to take it a little slower then before(which is hard for such a HSP/ADHD kid like me).
Ok.food is due.and maybe the dishes....later!

[censored], it happend again!
Now I have dried blood in both lungs?
The doc has no clue how it got there since I don't have any thromboses.
I was just in the hospital for a week and because of that, I lost my new job...
Can it get any worse?

Ha, just talked to my boss and he told me not to worry. He will keep the position open for me.
Pretty cool!
He hired me for my honesty and he gives me all the time to get better.
I left the hospital today and I feel pretty good.Yes, my lungs and body still hurts but with enough blood thinners and some painkillers, I see a bright future ahead of me.
Funny how that goes sometimes....

They are travelling with an old vw bus, hippy style.lol
Check this link for more info web page (http://www.liptondiscgolf.nl)
Ofcourse it is all in Dutch and more will follow but we are happy with the free advertisement for our beloved sport.
