probably not yet B.! I checked my account and the check has not gone through yet!! From the pdga Office:
Efrain,

Thank you for your email and many thanks for your Affiliate Club
memberships!!!

Memberships are processed every Wednesday. Your Club was not in this week's
batch, let's hope I shall be updating you all next week in the group of 400+
members. I have
found USPS slow in this part of the country. If you have new members in your
Club look to see their names and numbers at www.pdga.com (http://www.pdga.com) next Wednesday
evening by clicking on 'Membership', inserting their last name. If you see
them know I shall be sending you a confirmation email the next day Thursday
and your membership materials will be mailed to you the following week. If
their names are at the website know that all of you will be included on the
list of current members emailed every Thursday to Tournament Directors in
your area enabling you to play in PDGA sanctioned events without penalty,
earning you points, generating a rating. Your patience is appreciated while
we await delivery of your Club info and processing of the memberships.

Please don't hesitate to contact me again if I can be of further assistance.
I look forward to receiving your applications. On
behalf of the PDGA please thank all your Club members for their support!

esalazar
Jan 26 2006, 01:09 PM
we have not been processed yet!! here is the latest e-mail response fro pdga hq's:"

Efrain,

Thanks for your email and your club's continued commitment to the PDGA! I
processed 500 memberships yesterday but your club was not there, I am sorry.
If you mailed in the info and fees I must tell you that the USPS is rather
unreliable in this part of the country. My suggestion would be to make a
list of your club members and give it to the Tournament Director informing
him that they are all members in good standing for 2006; their memberships
will be processed by the PDGA very soon. This way your members need not pay
the $5 non-current fee.

I appreciate all your efforts here Efrain. My suggestion for next year would
be to submit the paperwork earlier or electronically.

Thank you for everything you do for disc golf and the PDGA!

Take care, have fun this weekend y'all!

Lorrie

Joe Wander here from Disc Golf Live video magazine
(www.discgolflive.com). Entering our third year of production, DGL is
seen on local community access TV stations across the country to both
introduce new players to the game and to bring coverage of a range of
disc golf topics to established players. To build on that success and
to help make DGL a resource for the whole disc golf community, DGL is
partnering with local disc golf activists to bring the show to viewers
who don't have the benefit of a local broadcast viewing opportunity.

Disc golf clubs are an integral factor in so many aspects of disc golf,
including league play, course development, and tournament presentation,
just to name a few. Disc Golf Live would like to recognize the
importance of the PDGA Affiliated Clubs by giving each club a limited
license to duplicate and distribute DVD copies of the program. This
will allow you to burn up to 20 copies on the local end to use as
desired in player packages, as membership benefits, CTP prizes, and
other fundraisers. (Additional copies can be made at a rate of $1 per
copy. For those not interested in making your own copies, pre-made
copies are also available.)

I'll be happy to send any interested Club representative a copy of
episode 12, the latest show. The featured event is the Am Nationals,
but there are several other features, as well as some special items not
seen in the Broadcast version to benefit local and regional
organizations, retailers, and event promoters. Just send me your
mailing address and I'll get a copy into the mail for your review and
consideration.

Also, please take the opportunity to look into community access TV
resources in your area, and if there are stations available to carry
the show, let me know that and I'll send you a copy of the Broadcast
version as well. From that, it's easy to make a VHS copy (the most
typical broadcast format at local access stations) and have a local
resident submit the show for broadcast.

Finally, a reminder that DGL welcomes locally created segments or rough
footage. Please let your local club members know about the opportunity
to promote your event/course/players/club nationally and consider
putting something together.

Thanks to all!

Thanx for volunteering to step up & take care of this for us Jerry. I'll collect entry fees from members who want to get the discount this Wednesday & forward them to you to process with the PDGA, sounds like you have it all in hand (right?). Thanx for being a part of what helps make things happen at the ROCK. 3 people can't do everything Perez  maybe you have time to step up & help out. You ask a question 2 days before we leave for Teams & then sheet on us 2 days after we get back for not addressing your needs in a more timely fashion. Moving too slow - I know. As for the tee boxes - beech at the people who drummed up the idea, not the club it self or cabinet memebers. As I recall, most all of us have paid twice for the tags that were to make the concrete that doesn't exsist. Where's the money? Great question . The club is storing what was collected by Ware from the 2nd round of tags, & I have no accountability for any of the first round of tag $. Things come together better with team work than it does with judgement. Get more involved & maybe you to can help to make a change for the better - or maybe you don't have the time to contribute.

It's that when you have friends call you and ask you about our new concrete tee boxes, and it have been like forever, I have now answer for them As for the double pay on the tee boxes that's another thing! I was asked if that was done for personal gain  I said I hope NOT! ;) But these kind of questions people ask ;) I will step up, just point me in the right direction :) It's like if you don't ask these things will go away (laughing stirring the pot)

smoking makes short memories.
I don't need thanks for what I do...maybe a little respect would be nice.......but then a person has to be respectfull before they can give respect
1st tags majority of the money was paid back to the players that were in the top 30 tags (everyone remember that?) and the rest of the money around $120 was puTT into the Outlaws payout.
2nd tags about $40 bought beer for the top tag holders at Outlaws
Ware has some of the money and I have the rest(I still have tags that were not bought)
And I am sure as soon as the city says puTT the tee boxes in...that money will appear.

I don't think any one person is going to get anything done soon. The powers that be just don't care enough to get anything done. How do you convince the powers that be that they need to allow the boxes? Put your thinking caps on boys and girls...

Petition?
Charity donation in the name of Old Settlers Park?
Stats on money generated through tournamnets for the local economy?
A thourogh report on the benefits of teepads?
get the head dude drunk?
Blackmail?

There should be a little more energy put into helping Vinnie and Chili get these in the ground. Get a plan of attack together and go after what it is that is needed. The Round Rock club should be spearheading this.

I'll have pdga renewal forms with me at sign up each Wed, please bring checks payable to the Double R Disc Golf Club & I'll send one club check each week. Remember Pro's can get Am status on renewals before 1/1/07.

Can you read. Yes (as I said a week ago) - I mail those out on Thursdays.

The checks need to come to me & be made to the Double R Disc Golf Club, as that is the club name & what's on our checking account.

I have renewal forms with me every Wednesday & send them to the PDGA on Thursday. Please don't forget to ask me for a form when you sign up, I can't think to ask everyone. Each of us save $5 on our renewal by doing it as an affiliate club.

Dear 2007 PDGA Affiliate Clubs,
10/31/07

Here is an update on the PDGA Affiliate Club Program (form to renew
for 2008 attached) and we want to get some information out to those
clubs that are interested in running an ACP discounted PDGA
membership program for 2008.

First off I want you clubs to congratulate yourselves for the work
you do. The growth of disc golf (almost 2500 courses worldwide now!)
is due to a number of factors and your efforts have been key to that
growth. Clubs run the tournaments, take care of the courses and are
crucial movers in getting new courses installed.

Keep up the good work! You will find that PDGA HQ (at the
International Disc Golf Center site in Wildwood Park, Columbia
County, GA) is a good resource to help you promote disc golf. If you
are talking with David Gentry (Tour Manager), or Karoyn Garlock or
Brian Graham be sure to thank them for their efforts for the sport.
If you have any questions about the ACP or the PDGA Course Directory
please direct them to me [email protected]

The sign up form for the ACP for 2008 is attached and by next week,
we should receive the ACP's discounted forms for PDGA membership for
2008. The only changes in the ACP program from last year are a
slight increase in the annual fee (up to $25) and instead of tying
Course Directories to the PDGA membership deal - each club will
receive one Course Directory when the club enrolls in the program. If
you will be offering discounted PDGA membership to your members
through the club - you can begin to plan a membership drive now.
Your members will also soon be getting their 2008 renewal forms by
email or snail mail directly from PDGA so if you want them to
handle their PDGA membership through the club, you will need to
inform them to ignore that form when it comes from HQ.

The ACP Discounted PDGA Membership Contest;

We will again be running an contest for those affiliate clubs that
run a Discounted PDGA Membership program. The contest will run from
Dec 1st 2007 through Aug 31st 2008 and will include only 2008 PDGA
Discounted memberships that are submitted by active 2008 PDGA
Affiliate Clubs. In the interests of allowing clubs of different
sizes a shot at winning, there are 3 categories for this contest: -
A) Most PDGA memberships - B) Most new PDGA members - C) Most
improved PDGA Discounted memberships

A) will award the club with the most ACP discounted PDGA memberships
turned in, B) will award the club that turns in the most new PDGA
members among their ACP discounted PDGA memberships, while C) will
award the club that turns in the most memberships above their 2007
number of ACP handled PDGA memberships.

A club can win only one of the 3 categories. If the 1st place club
has already won in another category, the prize will go to the 2nd
place club and so on.

Each winning club will receive $100 in credit for the PDGA Store.

The winning clubs in 2007 were:

A) Most PDGA bundled members - Kansas City Flying Disc Club (69)

B) Most new PDGA members in the bundles - St. Louis Disc Golf (17)

C) Most improved PDGA bundled memberships - Rocket City Chain Gang
(16 [25 --> 41])*

*HONORABLE MENTION: Kansas City Flying Disc Club (47 [22 --> 69])

Each winning club will receive $100 in credit for the PDGA Store.

Some clubs dont take advantage of our ACP discounted PDGA Membership
action. No worries - just let me know if your club will be
participating in the ACP's 2008 PDGA Discounted Membership deal and I
will forward you the forms you need for that when I get them next week.

ACP benefits info is up at:

http://www.pdga.com/club_affiliate/club_af_benefits.php

Course Development

Just thought that I would point you guys to the Course Development
section up at Pdga.com

http://www.pdga.com/cd_start.php

You will find some great resources that will help in your efforts to
get courses installed (including Jason Siniscalchis Benefits of Disc
Golf study). You will also find a lot of other help up there. Some
of the disc golf target manufacturers have materials that can assist
you with course development as well.

And some final news on the PDGA Course Map Project

The PDGA is excited to present a new online feature to allow you to
better present your disc golf course. We are finishing work on a
utility to enable you to map out your course on Google Maps and then
upload the results for all to see.

Its easy to use - go to the website listed below and enter a city,
zip code, or street address in the space provided. The map will
reposition to that location. You can then refine the position and
look with the on screen tools. Once you have the proper location,
simply start clicking on the map to add successive tee and pin
positions. Once you are done, go through the indicated steps to to
add your map to the online directory.

The current version of the utility is in beta testing. Please help us
out by providing feedback.

The utility was created by, and is being maintained and developed by,
Greg Koppel. If you have any difficulties, suggestions, or other
input; please contact him at [email protected]

You can find the beta version of the utility at;

http://discgolfmaps.googlepages.com/AnytownCourseMap.html

We have some assurances from the Tech Committee that this project has
high priority. Once we have this launched properly at PDGA.com - it
would be great if clubs would come online and post up maps of their
local courses!

Thanks, Cliff Towne

They can still pay by CC directly to the PDGA on the form or check too - if that makes it easier for anyone. They don't have a limit on the number that can be sent in at once & don't require single payment method for a bundle.

Lala
Dec 12 2008, 10:18 AM
Yes & if you'd read your e mail Chris, you'd know that. Most members got an email listing the ways to renew w/PDGA - if you did not, here's the copy pertaining to PDGA CAP renewal

"PDGA Club Affiliate Program renewal Time is coming for you to renew your PDGA Membership (not mandatory by the Double R). The Club is a member of the PDGA Affiliate Program which means we have our own club thread on the PDGA Discussion board http://discussion.pdga.com/msgboard/postlist.php?Cat=0&Board=Club022 & that you as club members can save up to $8 when renewing your PDGA membership. There are several options (subtract $5 from the list fee on the forms when paying) 1st, you can provide the complete attached form to any cabinet member with payment (cash or check payable to the Double R Disc Golf Club) & I renew you online (this saves you the $5 CAP discount & the $3 online fee); 2nd, you can got to www.pdgastore.com (http://www.pdgastore.com) and click on the Affiliate Clubs and complete the information & pay via credit card (this saves you the $5 CAP discount, but you still pay the $3 online reg fee)."

If you didn't get this email, send me one to [email protected] & I'll forward the e mail & forms that everyone from the club that I have e mails for. & doing it online youself, you still save $5 - not $2. Compare apples to apples Chris, not online fee vs snail mail fee.

seewhere
Dec 12 2008, 11:16 AM
, you still save $5 - not $2

all I know is when I walked through the online process at the end my total was $73 not $70 thanks I will get you my renawal info soon

Lala
Dec 12 2008, 01:15 PM
With out the CAP, it would be $75 flat if you were mailing it snail mail, if you were not doing it via the CAP & were doing it online (all yourself) you'd pay $78, if you're doing online w/CAP with your own CC, it'd be $73, if you do it w/me via CAP then it's $70.
