Let's hope mother nature stays away for the next 2 weeks. 10a and 10b are serious contenders should the new 11a be too far into the college property. (Painter will do his best) 11b could be dangerous (for anyone RIGHT handed,HA!), while 11c, depending on the height of the tee box could be challenging even to the likes of Schmidt, Evans and McKibbon. Visualize distance v. challenge v. opportunity.

Any ideas for course names? We will be working on the course maps and scorecards soon.

Gator that is a good legend, but I have one that relates to gators (actually crocs). I always stay away from the water on Hole 8 as the last time I ran into a croc I lost an eye. I have a thing about croc infested (gator) waters. :mad:

I agree. Mixing the format would help, as long as it's not too hard on the TD. Skins or wolf. Or seed partners highest seed with lowest, second highest with second lowest, etc. Just tossing out ideas...

I just moved here and cant wait to call Live Oak my home course. I played once last week and a few times this summer (LOSO was a highlight) I've read minis are held early on the weekends, but wondered if theres anything else i need to know.
I also need recommendations for plastic distibutors. I lost all my distance drivers and am looking to get rid of some of this xmas money.

Yes Yeti and Des are running the Ice Bowl this year. It is the weekend on January 28-29. I can't remember if it is Saturday or Sunday. I will talk to Jay and let him know to post all the info.

Personally I will be in OKC that weekend with the Tour de Disc Golf so can't be at the Ice Bowl.

As for other Live Oak events I may do an Irish Match Play fun day again on January 14 or 15.

I'm confessed now I just recieve a e-mail from the city saying the meeting is on January 6 2006 at 7:00pm :D

11a is cut out with a pylon for a target, 11b (water) is in with tee pad and basket, 11c (formally 11b is being lengthened but the basket is in, 10a and 10b have yet to be worked on. The formwork should be done by this Friday.

CORRECTION: The meeting is THIS Friday, Jan. 6th (not the 7th) at 7 p.m. Those that attended last time be there again if you can. "Citizens To Be Heard" may still be an option.

i had ALOT of trouble with 9's basket for some reason...in three rounds i think it spit 5 of my putts. ouch

That was my tent on 9. I practiced my putts there. I was making them from the picnic table, about 40 feet. The basket was fine. :DIt was the only basket I could hit though.
