Just for you Treat................................

Stillwater, Oklahoma
August 26, 2005
A seven-year-old boy was at the center of a courtroom drama today when
he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of him.
The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge
initially awarded custody to his aunt, in keeping with child custody law
and regulations requiring that family unity be maintained to the degree
possible.
The boy surprised the court when he proclaimed that his aunt beat him
more than his parents and he adamantly refused to live with her.
When the judge then suggested that he live with his grandparents, the
boy cried out that they also beat him.
After considering the remainder of the immediate family and learning
that domestic violence was apparently a way of life among them, the
judge took the unprecedented step of allowing the boy to propose who
should have custody of him.
After two recesses to check legal references and confer with child
welfare officials, the judge granted temporary custody to the Oklahoma
State Cowboys, whom the boy firmly believes are not capable of beating
anyone.

A CATTLE RANCHER OUTSIDE STILLWATER OKLAHOMA , WAS WORKING HIS CATTLE ONE DAY WHEN HE HEARD FAINT MUSIC COMING FROM NEARBY.

AFTER HUNTING ABOUT FOR A TIME, HE DISCOVERED THE SOUND WAS LOUDEST NEAR ONE PARTICULAR CALF, AND WAS EVEN LOUDER NEAR THE CALF'S TAIL.

PUTTING HIS HEAD CLOSE TO THE CALF'S HIND END, HE HEARD THE OKLAHOM STATE FIGHT SONG.

AMAZED, HE PUT THE CALF IN THE TRUCK AND DROVE THE ANIMAL TO A VETERINARIAN.

WHEN THE VET ASKED HIM WHAT WAS GOING ON, THE RANCHER EXPLAINED HIS DISCOVERY.

THE VET WENT AROUND BEHIND THE CALF AND GAVE A LISTEN.

HE AGREED HE HEARD THE OKLAHOMA STATE FIGHT SONG BUT DIDN'T SEEM PARTICULARLY EXCITED.

"MAN, HOW CAN YOU STAND THERE AND NOT BE AMAZED?" THE RANCHER ASKED.

THE VET, A THIRD GENERATION UNIVERSITY OF OKLAHOMA GRADUATE, SAID, "BUD, I'M A SOONER, AND I'VE BEEN LISTENING TO AZZZHOLES SING THAT SONG MY WHOLE LIFE".

That is the verbalization of the downfall of ou. 17 to 10. And the Cowboys won.

This is funny. OU loses a game and silly poke fans eat it up. We all know that we will hear all the lame excuses when (not if) the cowgirls start losing. Then all the orange shirts will be placed back in the closets and the poke fans will have to accept life as they have come to know. So, enjoy this while it lasts, because your victory dance will stumble, again. And even though OU choked the last two years, at least we got to sit at the table.

POKES ARE JOKES. :p

Hi Jake. Nice to see another hater coming out of the woodwork (as if I didn't already know you were a hater...nice hat.)
Only SOME Sooner fans are ignorant, just as only SOME Aggies are ignorant. I, for one, never attended OU, but have been a fan since childhood. I'm also a college dropout (NWOSU), but I don't remember the last time someone characterized me as ignorant. I'm sure they were mistaken.
We'll take our lumps this week, then will move on to bigger and better things. Like the rest of the season. Like the Big 12 Championship (God willing.) Like a BCS bowl. I'm curious as to what YOUR plans look like in late December, Jake. I'm sure you'll find plenty of time to meet me on the course.

Well I though we were going to see an even sadder repeat of last weeks game with the sooner. No sooner was not a typo since Owho? only has one offensive weapon. And they used him. Over, and over, and over again. And finally got lucky with a fumble late in the 4th to keep TULSA from driving another touchdown on them.
What a game TULSA. What a give away. They had Stoops and his normal Stupor at half where I quote him as saying, "We cant run it; cant throw it...so we are going to have to do something" Ha Ha. Finally one sooner fan finally admits their teams abilities.

Yeah we lost. Yes is was ugly.

But...(and here is something 90% of Loser fans cant say)

....At least I was there, in norman (deep behind enemy lines) to support my team.

And I cheered as we scored our two touchdowns, and when Donovan Woods intercepted a pass. And I watch as Peterson ran what seemed to be a never-ending race.

What can I say? I had hopes that Gundy could keep it together after we played Texas well, and beat Tech, but I think that coaching was the biggest advantage (besides Peterson). It was Gundys first Bedlam, and he didn't play it as hard as he should have.

Hope we can have a better match up next year.

Wish you'd met my brother and I at Griffin Saturday morning, then....we went and shot a (horrible) round before the game, hoping there'd be a few Aggies join us, but didn't see any until we were leaving and saw Larry and Charity out there sporting their orange.........maybe next year we can meet ya out at Boomer......

That sounds good dude. I have always thought about creating a bedlam tournament. Something where you would do a total score for each team or something....I would play in it.

I was talking about casual rounds before the game, but a bedlam tournament...now THAT'S a great idea! Could have them more than once a year, too, considering basketball season's coming up (although I only have season tickets for football). SDG? What do y'all think about that? Probably the best idea I've heard an Aggie have since...well, I dunno, maybe since Dexter Manley said that if OSU gave him a degree he should be able to READ! :D

Man I miss the Bedlam hatred, but here goes

There are only two season - football and off-season. BS - The Boo-hoos didn't believe that until they started winning some. This is a typical OU response.

Drunk B-ball coach - You got us there, but OU has very little room to speak of its role model atheletes and coaches - Switzer and the drugs, Boz and the roids, and Charles Thompson and his cocaine habit are just a few. Unfortunately, I am forgetting some.

Dexter Manley - Thanks for the great laugh, but I knew some former OU players, and they couldn't read the top row on an eye chart exam.

Bedlam sweep - It counts, especially since you were qoute the "9th best team in America"

But, you do have a hell of a disc golf club!

Now go root for your alma-mater :D err - I mean the school that you die to support b/c they just happen to be winning at this time!!!!

***Not true. Whether it's a CWS year for OU or not, most of us really don't care

***I can't argue that point. We have plenty of history in that regard.

Dexter Manley - Thanks for the great laugh, but I knew some former OU players, and they couldn't read the top row on an eye chart exam.

*** I don't remember any of them suing the school because they graduated and couldn't read.

Bedlam sweep - It counts, especially since you were qoute the "9th best team in America"

*** It only counts in the regard that someone cared...I certainly didn't

But, you do have a hell of a disc golf club!

*** I agree completely...in fact, more than one!

Now go root for your alma-mater :D err - I mean the school that you die to support b/c they just happen to be winning at this time!!!!

*** True, I never attended OU, but I had my first set of season tickets in '87, and continued to attend the games during the tenure of Gibbs, Schnelly, Blake and now Stoops. No fair weather fan here, I've stuck it out through thick and thin. The fact I chose to take a scholarship at a school where tuition and living expenses were much cheaper is irrelevant.

Ultimately we could argue it back and forth all you want, but the fact remains that OSU occasionally jumps up and bites us on the rump on the football field, and that seems to be the only time that matters to EITHER side. I don't remember any "medallions" for an OSU win in basketball, wrestling, baseball, women's volleyball, golf, etc...until you Aggies start printing out special t-shirts for wins in those sports the only national championship banner that will matter is the one for football. I can count ALL of yours without using any fingers or toes. :D

Ahhh, but have you ever gone behind enemy lines to support your team?

My brother and I went to Loser-ville with two of your stupid looking tickets in or hands. To sit in the end zone and watch our defense let Peterson run two consecutive touchdowns in.

From our seats, Peterson was running right at us it was the saddest sight I have ever seen.

But at least I have gone with my team into the very worst. And for that I am proud.

That's correct, they are at OU.

It's a real shame to see our defense give up two quick touchdowns...what's even more a shame is the embarrassment that IS PAC 10 officiating in that game. Not only was the onside kick call (on the field) the wrong one, but OU RECOVERED THE BALL. It's on tape. How they can justify giving Oregon the ball for the last series is beyond me. They announced today they'll be suspending the entire officiating crew for one game, but that's too late for us. All we have left to look forward to is another drubbing of Texas and another year of domination in the Big 12 with no BCS "National Championship" game on the horizon.

Hey dont get all bent out of shape LilRed. You did the right thing by calling it and those guys all just have to take your word for it that you didnt realize it until just BEFORE YOU were to tee off. Its just the Disc Golf Gods may have been looking for you to do the more sporting thing and admit to everyone that you just realized it was the wrong tee pad, go ahead and throw anyway, and stroke yourself like the rest of them. Youre a college kid and youre probably already stroking yourself every night. Whats one more going to hurt? :o

I cant understand how you could feel comfortable with your finish when everyone on your card got screwed and you got off on a technicality.... :p.... Its like the lifeboat is going down, everyone is going to drown, and all the sudden you pull a lifejacket out of your butt. .... Screw the women and children as long as I save my butt, thats all that matters. :p

You need to quit thinking like a lawyer and start thinking like a Dead Head. The only way you could have proved to those guys that you didnt do it on purpose would have been to go ahead and throw from the same pad they did and then take the stroke. Its called love..brother. Never leave a fellow disc golfer behind. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I gotta give Red the benefit of the doubt...when you step up on Black's #18 tee (assuming the player is right handed) you are practically looking right at the White tee. So it does not suprise me at all that he realized it right then and there....it happens man, DG is a competitive sport and sometimes things don't go your way. I am just living by the golden rule here people. That is how I would have wanted it ruled had I been one of the guys who threw from the wrong pad.

Also, all of those guys, especially Patton, were so mad about what they had done that they screwed up their next shots and their shots on #1 and #2.

You can't play emotional golf. If you get stroked, get over it. It is part of the game. Thats why we have that little blue book with all the rules written down inside of it. To make rulings on situations that occur naturally in the game.

This in my mind was a strokable offense. This wasn't drinking a beer, this wasn't not having a disc marked. This was a mis-play of the course. That is unfair to the field, and thus illegal.

So what if I would have let them go, not stroked them and continued play. What if one of them, hypothetically, aced the next two holes to jump up in the rankings. Anyone who is beaten by that players round has been cheated. You know?

When do you stop? When do you finally make the call?

"Well guys I really don't even feel like finishing this back 9, let's all just say we all shot -4 on the round...You guys are cool with that right?"

What is the call furdog? I don't want anyone to be mad at me or make anyone feel like they aren't a unique and beautiful snowflake! We don't want anybody to cry!

The issue is not that you stroked them for a practice throw....NONE of them said that. The issue is that you let them throw from the wrong pad and did not say anything to them before it was too late.

I am sorry, but you knew that there was a short tee on that hole and none else did, obviously. None of the other players had EVER played from the white tees, unlike yourself. Well Jake, I wouldn't have to keep talking about this if I wasn't having to defend myself.

Let me check on something Jake.....Ok.

Yes. There was a thing called a players meeting.

And if I were playing on a course for the first time (none of them were they had all seen blackhawk and walked by every single white tee) I would have paid attention to what the TD said. And I would have been looking for white tees all round. That is what the responsible player would do.

And Jake. I am not talking trash here dude. You are really showing everyone how stupid you are by continuing this discussion. I haven't said one cross thing toward any of the guys that were on my card.

So shut up. Idiot.

This whole thing would be a lot different if there was T.V. coverage of disc golf rounds.

That brings up a good point about people acting different when no one can see them. Like "doing the right thing when no one is looking".

Honor. Justice. Rules. Character. Pride.

Ok. The statues of limitations for giving Andrew crap on this issue is about to run out. For those that are out of town, your chance to give Andrew crap will be extended for a few more days.

In the absence of any response from Andrew, I will consider the above statement to be the final word, or as what should be clear to him and everyone by now,.......the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.

In an effort to see that this never happens again, I will submit a request to the Commish that in the future he installs a 5x3ft neon sign pointing to the guilty alternative tee pad and that all Am Worlds Caddies Books be recalled and modified with a "Alt. Tee's For Dummies" section. :)

Oh happy day!
-Oh happy day!

When Peterson flops into the endzone and breaks his collar bone!

Oh happy day!

Man I just see the Losers getting worse and worse.

Had to get a new head coach in basketball due to him being a cheater.

May have to get a new football coach becasue he is a LOSER!

I am not a Sooner by any means but I thought it was very unfortunate when A.P. broke his collar bone. Dude is the best RB in NCAA division 1 and was about to break some records at OU....too bad.

Thats how sports works. No, you would have to be an idiot to think that I am personally happy that some dude who runs the football for someone got hurt. I am not happy that Adrian Peterson, the man, got injured. But I am tickled that #28 is gone. :D

What I like is the situation it puts your program in.

No Bomar. No Peterson. NCAA Sanctions are on the doorstep.

Sooner Magic I guess. :o

Would Tiger Woods "Go down with the ship"?

First of all, you're no Tiger Woods. He's a Pro. You're a what?
On the Titanic, some women stayed on board so as not to be separated from the one's they loved. On the battlefield, real men would jump on top of a gernade to save their buddies. Not like you who waits until after the explosion to say, "Hey watch out". Even Forest Gump went back for Bubba.

This whole thing would be a lot different if there was T.V. coverage of disc golf rounds.

Yea you're right. Someone in the gallery would have said....."Hey idiots. You're on the wrong tee pad!". So what you're saying is that if your mom and dad got in a car wreck or went to jail for some reason I can feel bad for them but still laugh at the fact you no longer have your parents nipple to suck on and provide you a comfortable way though college?....

What's with the hate man?

Are you not already satisfied that you have reserved a spot next to Johnny Cockran at the bottom of the ocean? :p

I don't even see a Stillwater afilliate thread anymore.....What's with that and what are you doing about it? /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif.....Did every discgolfer in Stillwater become Sooner fans and move to OKC? :o
