Schweb, I just got done making testimony about your being accurate on another thread, is that really your 1019-worthy rated answer? You're not 95%, or even better, from 16 feet, or perhaps a bit more? C'mon, be honest...er.

...12-15" just strikes me as somewhat short, relatively speaking, that is....'seems. Sweeney [885-ish] would likely say 20'.

Now I'm [870] notoriously alligator-armed :(; probably about 3 meters, dead-calm, give-or-take a yard. ;)

That is the Truth of my puTTing game. If I could have back some 15-20 ft puTTs that I missed at Worlds, say like 20 of them, there might have been a different winner this past year.

If your making those 95 percent of the time you must not be very good at driving or upshoting. If i could make 95 percent from 25 Ft id be rated 990 at the least  cuz i cant count 5 25 fts that i miss every round

12-15ft

Except for my last tournament, missed 15 ten foot putts. But I lost by 9 strokes. So I can feel how Shweb feels, but his is on a much grander scale then an Advanced C-Teir tournament.

They sure ruled when the Steelers kicked the crap out of them earlier this year eh? I know what your going to say...we made it to the superbowl didn't we...well that's not saying a lot since half the teams in the NFC were below .500, and still had a chance to make the playoffs with 2 weeks left!

We'll see just how much they rule when the Pats whooooop up on them in about a week.(I hate the Pats...just hate TO more)

Thats why I said nothing was guarenteed. If my putting is on which it usaully is,20-25 ft in mild conditions isnt asking to much.To answer Joshs question, no Im not ballpark to 1000 rating.Thats more of a lack of solid tourney play {last year was decent year for me} by that I mean inconsistent rounds { 1hot, 2 ave, lets say} and only playing away tourneys, usaully shooting blind.Well see how it goes this year. Pimp, you are correct about upshots and drives. My drives are average with the top level advanced players.Im not claiming Pro type D.Not even on the message board.Im also not saying I make every putt within 20ft.That wasnt the question, just where your highest percentage is.Putting is my strenth 99% of the time.Im good with upshots and putts then drives off.Id rather have it that way till I get more consistent.Thats why I play advanced, not open.yet.

I wish I could say 20 feet and so does my rating.

But it's probably more like 10-12 feet. The better I get at 30 footers, it seems like the worse I get from 15!

If anyone was at Ludington this past year playing in Wind Bowl 05', they would know what I talking about when I say drop-ins were about 50%. When a porta john gets blown over and pushed 70 yards across the parking lot on its side nothings a gimmie. Nothing. I saw a five foot putt make two runs at a basket. Good fun.

Jan 28 2005, 03:34 PM
There was a tourney in Iowa City in the fall that was like that.Your putt attempt would just hang in the air, hit chains and float back out about 5 feet from your attempt. If it didnt roll 50 ft away, which was my luck on about 8 holes.

'bout 10-12 ft. under most any condition. Calm days....15ft.

35 feet is my sweet spot, im probaly one of the few golfers out there that gets dissapointed when im inside of 33 feet.

18'. I am pretty solid right at 18'. Some days are better than others, though.

11 and in for no jumping 95-100%......10-12 meters for jumping 95-100%

I'd say i'm probablya bout 95% at hitting the bottom of the basket from 10-25 feet..
**** push putt.. can't seem to keep the nose from going down all the time.. GRRRRR

I'd rather be in jump putting range (30-100) than be at 20-25.

-Scott Lewis

P.S.. WHile we're on this topic.. Anyone have pictures of how they grip a putter for putting?? from the underside?? i know that i don't hold a putter right becuase i don't have any fingers on the rim.. it's like a complete fan grip for my push putts.. even my spin puttts, but nothing else feels comfortable.

I made more than 300 competition putts without missing a single one with my Steady Ed ashes putter before I retired it. Of course, I never tried to use it outside of about 6 feet.

I retired it because it was causing me to 'not mind' missing 20-footers, because missing one of those resulted in an attitude that I was looking forward to putting with Ed. I was starting to not mind missing them!

Apr 13 2005, 07:24 PM
I've never missed a putt, but I have blown a few million 30 foot upshots :D

Apr 13 2005, 08:50 PM
Yeah it sucks when those 30 foot ups get chained out. ;)
