The Azalea Tournament is slated for April 2nd and 3rd as the last weekend in March is Easter this year. We would like to avoid Bowling Green (Ams) weekend but don't want to run it on Easter either.

Had a most enjoyable round with the Knappa's at the Castle this afternoon. Really enjoyed playing with you two! Moe a month after major surgery and is silky smooooooth...amazing!

I'm sorry fella's as the weekend of April 2nd/3rd is already in with Mr. Beaver and Mr. Gentry and will be the weekend for this years Azalea Tournament. At some point we will be true to our name and there will be Azaleas on the course so we will try to stay as close to this weekend as possible while avoiding Easter and trying to dodge the Bowling Green weekend.

MtL thanks for the offer and we would grately appreciate your help. As a club, and with the help of people like you (S. Knapp offered his help also) we will come up with a way to make it another great event. I vascillate back and forth as this will be the 1st spring semester since I began graduate school and am just concerned about the timing in the semester (i.e. mid-terms). Boz has agreed to do it but the recovery of his brother may or may not be an issue. By the way Joe seems to be making great strides and his positive attitude toward recovery is astonishing.

I hate to make the thread drift, but can someone help me find information about monthlies/weeklies/other tournaments in Wilmington. I have a friend that lives in Myrtle Beach now and he's itching for some action! I figure Wilmington (1 1/2 hrs) is his closest option, any other suggestions would be much appreciated.

The CasTTle monthlies are the second Saturday of every month, @10AM. The 3rd Azeala Festival Tourny is scheduled for April 2-3. As far as I know there will be weekly random doubles starting sometime in the Spring. I'm sure the Scott or someone can fill in anything I forgot.

CuTT, how do you feel about the first pine off the tee on #17? Unless you chain yourself to it, we've decided to lose it.

I think it will give people the chance to use the left side more.

The only holes I think need work are #3's basket, #6 tree in the middle of the fairway and #5 needs something done to it.

I agree with cuTT !! Stop the madness with all the trees, 16 just became the second easiest hole on the course. As far as the tree on 17 goes, if you take it out the ANNY route is open to the public therfore making the hole easier.

I think on 5 we should look at cutting the hardwood on the left side of the fairway at the turn...look, and think about it, no more pines though.

And finally I would personally be happy to remove 3's basket and put it wherever ya'll want it, as long as it's not "ON" a tree.

While we're at it we can pull up some baskets.ie. 10, 12, 14. and maybe push 8 down a tad.

Just my 2 cents, I'ts tough to get everyone on the same page but some of the cutting that has gone on is questionable, and why in the world would you leave stumps that are 2 feet off the ground, cut the whole thing if you're gonna cut it !!!!!!!!!!!

Come to the club meetings fella's as your opinions and work are welcomed and much appreciated. We always meet the 1st Tuesday of each month. Next meeting is scheduled for Feb. 1st at Monny's home. I have said from the beginning and everyone agree's that a consensus must be reached before a "hole altering" decision is made. The meetings are the best and most consistent place to come to a consensus as everyone hears all the arguments for and/or against said issue.

It pains me to have my monthly conflict with a 3rivers, but I have to this time. All my apoligies to Robert and Jody. Wouldn't it be great if we have a great tourn out at both! DEP's don't be lazy on Sunday get out and play one of these, and show your support for Down East Disc Golf.
p.s. We will be playing the tall stuff OB, but it is not painted right now. I didnt get a chance to do it. It will have to be judgments calls. But this monthly is for Charity, so it shouldn't matter much especially with mulligans.

DANG!!!!!!!!!!!! I checked the schedule on there site and it wasnt listed. But I just went now, and I noticed when I scrolled down he posted it on the home page. I am sorry bout that. Please tell JW, and RW I will start trying harder to communicate with those guys better, and tell them I said "My bad!"
