Okay so maybe that last picture wasn't completely necessary, but I felt it needed to be included. I can definitely see some problems there that I can correct such as being off balance and things such as that. This is the second time I've played in the past 6 months so the rust is pretty thick. I was still tossing it about 350-400 on the long holes, but I didn't feel terribly in control. So, what should I tweak, alter, or full out overhaul?

edit: some smaller pictures for the poor souls on dialup

I guess you left Va. or they have planted palm trees in Lynchburg.

You guess correctly.

Just slow down your motion. In time the control will come.

Also work on the file size. Some of us still have dial up.

Yup. Ant and I just finished playing a round of gang golf with the Sky Pilots there. What a concept - a herd of 20+ golfers and coolers moving along at a pace conducive to a buzzz. Cool crowd all of them.

Good point, 700kb pictures may take a while. I'll try to cut them by 50% and reupload.

If your round of gang golf was today at around noon, that was when I was playing.

Gang golf... so how does that work without pissing off everyone else trying to play the course? just curious because it sounds like a lot of fun.

Looks pretty good. And If you reach 400ft you have to be doing something right... ;)
And I agree with what's previously posted, try to experiment with your run up speed and slow thing down a bit. Could help control and balance issues. It does seem like you still have great forward body velocity judging from your leg and torso position during the follow through.

Really good follow through on the "holy crap" pic! Got any pictures of throw from the x-step/backswing/initial hip turn and forward? That's where many players can work on improving their timing, resulting in more control and more D.

I sure get a bit jealous over the last pic. Stockholm is currently covered with 15 inches of snow, and all white discs have been replaced by red ones in the bag...

That's the closest I've got. My timing was much better when I was playing regularly, but college keeps me too busy to play often, and a herniated disc also keeps me from throwing.

Jed:

It has taken 260 pages so far to give you advice on how to throw your MRV -- how many is it going to take to teach you how to throw your driver?
