Just wanted to start a forum here for the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky local disc golfers to post on the PDGA Message Board. This is a great club that has sponsored both AM Worlds and Pro Worlds as well as a Course Challenge Series every year. Couple Ice Bowls coming up in the area. Check it out. In another couple weeks we will be finalizing dates for our annual course challenge series. Look for more good stuff to happen in the Cincy area in 2004.

Yes, times are the same. I'm pumped up myself by all the close races in the divisions and anxious to see how this format of one at Idlewild with it's higher scores and then the birdie round at Boone. It will be interesting to see how that shakes things up.

Bluegrass Winter State Games at Banklick Saturday 2/21/04. Divisions for all ages. Must be a Kentucky resident to participate. Lots of medals to be given away.

:confused: looks like the Message Board is still down. We had our second Icebowl in the Icebowl Krazy Series at Mt. Airy Saturday and it was indeed an Icebowl. I was able to get there and 14 others showed up and played thru a wintery mix (weathermen seem to like that term) of sleet, rain, snow and the like all day. We had a lot of fun. Matt Blakley had 2 aces on the same hole #13 each round - won $14 and had to split it with himself. Jeff Eades won the CTP/Split the pot $30 for Jeff and $30 for Fairhaven Rescue Mission. Raised another $105 for them. Matt won Open, Allen Johansen won Masters ( we had 8 Masters and 5 Open) Next Icebowl Krazy #3 is at Idlewild and Boone (1 round at each) on 2/19/05. That will be gettin us close to the regular disc golf season around here, so come on out for that one and get yourself ready for the season with some good competition. Just a quick note from here in Michigan to say y'all have some sweet courses down there in the Cincy/NoKY area. A few of us made the trip down last weekend to play Mt. Airy, Harbin, Banklick, Boone and (especially) Idlewild. We played 105 total holes in a little more than 24 hours. (We ran out of daylight on the back side of Banklick, or it would've been a few more.)

We had a great time and are already planning a return trip next year. I'll be sure and post here when we know the details on that trip. (Maybe a few of you locals can meet us on the course for some friendly challenges and a beer or two afterward!)

I might be making the trip up to Cincinnati for the Flying Pig this August.

How fast does it fill up? And how much is the entry for MA1? It did not say on the website.

I just have to finalize that the people who run the SN are a bunch of (words I cannot say on this message board), and I will send my entry for the Pig.

It normally fills close to 2 weeks in advance. Come on up, 2 great courses & one heck of a bargin.

Does anyone have a place for me to crash? All I need is room to put my twin sized air mattress and access to a shower in the morning.

I am trying to work on staying with a college friend of my wifes, but I would like a back up or at least prefer to stay with someone who will be attending the tournament as to not to disrupt my wifes friends weekend. PM or email me [email protected]
