Disc Golf and the PDGA International Disc Golf Center was highlighted on the Fox Sports Network on Sunday, Dec. 21, 2008 at 11:00am EST.

On Sunday, December 21 at 11:00 a.m. EST, the Walmart FLW Fishing Series was televised on the Fox Sports Network. The event was held at Columbia County's Wildwood Park on October 22-25 and was featured on the FLW Outdoors program. As part of the programming, professional angler Wesley Strader was featured in the Around the Town segment which included a visit to three Columbia County attractions, including the PDGA International Disc Golf Center.

Wesley received some general instruction from the PDGA staff before going out to play a round with IDGC superintendent, Jason Allind. The short disc golf segment only ran for about 30 seconds but the national publicity that the sport received from this exposure was priceless.

The PDGA wishes to thank the Columbia County Convention and Visitors Bureau for including the International Disc Golf Center in this program. The mission of the Columbia County CVB is to promote Columbia County as the preferred destination for recreational opportunities, special events, regional meetings, and family reunions by aggressively marketing the county's valued natural resources and facilities to create a positive economic impact and enhance the quality of life.
