I only played this course once and need to give it another try next time I'm in the area. When I was there it was VERY difficult to follow. TIP: print off your own map ahead of time if you are able to do so.

Nice day out today so I went to give this course a second chance. It is nicer then it was last year posts have been placed for tees and concrete pads are clearly marked on the South Course. As for the North Course I was glad I printed off the map online. It was really helpful.

I love this course , not just saying that because it's my home course..lol...Since it's been almost 3 years since the last review has been submitted ,I'll give an up to date review by a recreational player which plays this coarse regularly. It's been 2 years since SDGC turned Lincoln Park into a 2 coarse park. All the kinks and tweaks have been worked out and both are completely finished products , and fairly easy to follow now. I highly recommend playing if you are in the Springfield area. The South coarse IMO is pretty challenging(yet extremely fun to play) for the beginner and intermediate players , lot of medium/heavily wooded holes which calls for lot of technical shots off of the tee pads. Most holes can be made in 3 shots , but there are a few that require a better arm then mine to get a par 3 on..lol Hole 11 for instance , I say is bout 800 feet or better and the basket is down in the woods which might cause some problems. I can shoot double boggy on a good day ..lol...I hope this review is somewhat helpful :-)
