PDGA Canada was set up in 2007 as a small branch office of PDGA headquarters in the USA, with the purpose of supporting and promoting disc golf and PDGA activities in the Great White North. The PDGA International Director, a Canadian residing in Toronto, also serves as the PDGA Canada Manager. Their roles include Treasurer of PDGA Canada funds, working with the elected PDGA Provincial Coordinators and provincial disc sports bodies, and responding to requests and inquiries from Canadian TDs, members, new course developers, etc.

Canada-based PDGA events submit the per-player and non-current-member fees they collect to the PDGA Canada office in Canada $. The principal project of PDGA Canada is to reinvest these funds into disc golf-related activities in Canada. These include new course equipment, upgrades to existing courses, leading, women’s and juniors event sponsorships, local programs aimed at women, juniors, seniors and visible minorities, and other worthwhile developmental initiatives that have requested and been approved for support.

For more information on PDGA activities and standards specific to Canada, please see the PDGA Canada Annual Report and Protocol documents below.
