The PDGA announces a new Diversity and Outreach Grant Program, the first major initiative by the recently formed Diversity and Outreach Task Force.

The Grant Program aims to encourage members to design and implement ways to move the PDGA membership, and the sport of disc golf, toward greater diversity.

“There have been successful programs and workshops historically,” said PDGA Board President Justin Menickelli, who spearheaded the Diversity and Outreach Task Force. “And that’s great, but we want more of them. More initiatives that are designed to increase the diversity of our membership. We want more of those.”

Grant awards will provide financial assistance for innovative projects, programs, workshops and activities that strengthen excellence in diversity and outreach for underrepresented populations within the PDGA membership. These under-represented populations include Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), as well as women and girls.
