PDGA Bylaws Updated - January 26, 2026

The PDGA Board of Directors is providing notification that the PDGA Bylaws have been updated. With this update, section III.C.9 now reads as follows (new additions in bold and deletions in strikeout):

Any Beginning March 31, 2026, no former employee or independent contractor of the Corporation terminated for cause may not may run for election to a first term on the Board of Directors, nor be appointed to the Board of Directors, for three (3) years following the date of their termination for five (5) years following the end of their employment or contract for services with the Corporation.

This brings eligibility policies surrounding who can serve on the Global Board of Directors more in line with generally-accepted nonprofit governance practices without affecting the eligibility of any Board member who is currently serving after being elected by the membership. Please note that, while this change is being published now, it does not take effect until March 31, 2026.
