PDGA Adjusts FPO Ratings Floor for 2026 Major and Elite Series Events
Effective January 1, 2026, two changes will be made to the ratings floor for the FPO divisions at PDGA Major and Elite Series events. For almost all those events, players in FPO will be required to have a PDGA Player Rating of 850 or more in order to be eligible to compete. This represents an increase from the current ratings floor of 825. This increase comes at the recommendation of our Major Events Team and the Disc Golf Pro Tour.
There is one exception: the United States Women's Disc Golf Championships. In an effort to balance competitive needs with access to the event, we are lowering the ratings floor for FPO at USWDGC from 825 to 800. We realize that there still may be Professional-class members who are under 40 years old and rated below 800 who are not eligible for any division at USWDGC. We highly encourage those players to seek reclassification if eligible by contacting PDGA® Event Support.
