Location &Transportation

The Four Points Sheraton is conveniently located at 4800 Merle Hay Road, Des Moines, Iowa 50322, which is just ½ block south of Interstates 80/35 at the Merle Hay Road exit. They can accommodate over 350 vehicles in complimentary outdoor parking. The Hotel offers complimentary transportation to and from the airport and to shopping and attractions within 2 miles. Their 18-passenger bus and 7-passenger van allow them to respond quickly to group arrivals. They can respond within 25 minutes to calls from the Des Moines International Airport.

Size: 576 square feet

The Whirlpool Suites feature a moveable workstation with flexible seating and lighting, 2-line telephones and the following features:

• Table for 2 or 4 guests
• One King Bed and One Queen-size sofa sleeper (usually sleeping 4).
• Add a rollaway at $10/night to get the 5th guest in.

How to Reserve a Room for 2004 Worlds

Special note about the room rates: In order to get the quoted rates, your length of stay must be a minimum length of any seven nights. If your stay is less than seven nights, all room rates for your stay are an additional $20.00 a night more.

The rooms are going to go fast! So reserve yours as soon as you can! Reservations for the Sheraton must be received by 07/09/2004. Help the Des Moines Disc Golf Club with our planning by reserving your rooms early!! You can reserve a room by calling the hotel direct at 1-800-325-3535 or 515-278-4755. Use the key group name of PDGA Worlds 2004 to get the special 2004 Worlds group rates for seven nights.

There will also be the option to reserve by email, either to the hotel directly or through Starwood. As we get closer to the date, we will firm up instructions on this. This will make it much easier for our international guests.

Please be aware that the AAU National Junior Olympics will be concluding their three weeks of events in Des Moines on August 7th. If you are going to come in early, please reserve your room early! Also, the Iowa State Fair will be held in Des Moines the entire week of Worlds. Hotels all over Des Moines fill up because of this. So you MUST make your reservations early!! The club is in the process of negotiating rates with the Holiday Inn located next door to the Sheraton and with the Comfort Inn, which is located behind it. We'll be able to lodge everyone in the three hotels. We selected the Sheraton as our main hotel because of its ballroom and meeting facilities.
