Danny Polk, PDGA #27276 has stepped up his game in the past few months and it paid off today but taking home the win at the Ale Asylum Open in Madison, Wisconsin. Danny's booming drives and consistent putts helped him coast to a large margin of victory. This rising star will surely win other disc golf tournaments but I'm glad I watched him win his first in person. Video of the week for 11-5-2010.

Scott Slauson, PDGA #37378 didn't have anyone to compete against in his eligible master's field so he stepped up to Open. Good thing he did as he battled with Scotty "Too Hotty" Burtard and finally finished him on the 3rd hole of sudden death. With his unique straddle putt on line, Steve Brinster tore up the Winthrop Gold Course by shooting a 56 in the final round of the 2010 USDGC. Brinster is always in the running at big events and he knows his day will come to claim his first PDGA Major. Meanwhile young superstar, Will Schusterick, overcame a 2 stroke deficit in the final round and edged out his 'elder', Nikko Locastro for the title.

Young gun, Will Schusterick, PDGA #29064 has found himself atop the leader board at the 2010 USDGC. He stayed away from any big numbers and minimized his mistakes. Will has been touring more extensively this year including a great finish at the Japan Open in June. Avery Jenkins has successfully defended the title he acquired last year which is Sula Open Champion. Solid play on a challenging course provided a little competitive drama which resulted in a tight battle with other great competitors such as KJ Nybo, Nate Doss, and William Gummesson. When it was all said and done, the 2009 World Champion, AJ got to grab the top spot on the podium.
