For a 50% reduced rate of $9.99, registered users can watch the PDGA's first National Tour event of the 2010 season from the beautiful desert oasis of Fountain Hills, Arizona.  Todocast.tv and E-Planet Media will again come together with the disc golf world to produce a top-notch show. The broadcast is now available for purchase at  www.todocast.tv/pdga/memorial

"We are thrilled to be bringing our live broadcast team back to disc golf," said John Duesler, Executive Producer for the USDGC broadcast and PDGA Director of Marketing.  "We definitely let the genie out of the bottle last year, with 8000 registered viewers from 46 nations watching the show.  It's clear that disc golfers want to see more of our sport broadcast live, but we are asking a little more from them this time.  Our pay-per-view model will not only support the live broadcast, but also show outside sponsors that our disc golf community does support this type of media," Duesler explained.  "We know that everyone wants to watch the show, so we are asking that they purchase the package now at the discounted $9.99 rate we are offering. We learned a great deal from our show in October and know that The Memorial Championship, and all our future broadcasts, will continue to be better and better."

In addition to the live Internet coverage, subscribers to The Memorial Championship will also be eligible to win over $2500 in prizes that will be given away during the broadcast.  A Chainstar disc golf basket, Revolution Disc Golf bag, Milo disc golf shoes, Lenovo netbook, disc golf lessons with Valarie and Avery Jenkins and Nate Doss are just the beginning of this impressive list of prizes.  Winners will be determined during the show, but only subscribers to the broadcast are eligible.  Winning anything from this rich prize list is worth the $9.99 program subscription alone.

The Memorial Championship will begin on Wednesday, March 3rd and feature the sport's top professional disc golfers with as many as six cameras following the action around the gorgeous Fountain Hills course in Arizona.  On Thursday, coverage shifts to the top amateur players, many of whom will be playing in front of the cameras for the first time.  Friday's show will focus on the Men's Open lead card, with features, interviews, and other assorted interactive programming planned too.

"Getting the stage set for live sports coverage, in any sport, is a huge undertaking, and disc golf is no different.  We know too that many disc golfers are actually out on their local courses on Saturday, so our plan is to produce a 30 minute highlight show that covers the Men's Open and Women's Open division during Saturday's final round at Vista del Camino in Scottsdale, which is about 40 minutes away from Fountain Hills," Duesler explained.  "The finals will be available online to subscribers starting Monday after the event.  And when the tournament is done, all four days of action will be archived and available, so they can watch over-and-over again," Duesler said.

Disc golfers can enjoy a 50% discount on purchasing the four days of broadcast coverage from The Memorial Championship. The discounted cost for the entire package is $9.99 and can be purchased now at www.todocast.tv/pdga/memorial
