PDGA Seeks Media Manager


The Professional Disc Golf Association is pleased to announce a new full-time employment opportunity.

The PDGA seeks a highly organized, technology savvy, passionate self-starter to manage traditional and social media channels, serve as producer and editor of content for all PDGA web properties and develop interactive marketing programs associated with the sport of disc golf and the organization. The successful candidate will be a strong team player whose excellent organizational, planning and project management skills will ensure the ongoing advancement, development, and success of disc golf and the PDGA.

The creation of this new position was necessitated by the continued explosive growth of the sport and the ever growing demands on the current PDGA office staff to manage media and generate timely fresh content for the website and managing our growing online community. "The sport of disc golf is continuing to grow at an impressive pace", stated Executive Director, Brian Graham. "We need to stay ahead of the curve and explore new ways to use technology and social media to continue to push the sport forward. The addition of a dedicated employee to manage these responsibilities for the organization is a positive step in that direction.”

Technology Director, Steve Ganz says, "Since joining the PDGA in 2012, one of my goals has been to decrease the PDGA's dependency on outside contractors and build an in-house technology team. Bringing on someone to handle publishing and editing duties along with community outreach and development via social media helps us move closer towards acheiving that goal."
