NT Points Series / Drive For the Championship

It is with great pleasure that the Professional Disc Golf Association brings you the 2010 National Tour, and “Drive for the Championships”, presented by Woodchuck Cider. The National Tour represents the top tier of sanctioned disc golf events in the world and was established in 2003 as a vehicle to showcase the sport of disc golf and the impressive skills of our top professional men’s and women’s players to communities across the nation. Over the first seven years, nearly 8,500 players have competed on this elite tour for $36,000 in series bonuses and total cash purses exceeding $1.4 million.

The “Drive” is comprised of nine National Tour events beginning with the Memorial Championship in Scottsdale, Arizona in March, and ending with the Skylands Classic at Warwick, New York in August. The “Championship” events consist of the PDGA Pro Disc Golf World Championship, and the U.S. Disc Golf Championship for men, and the U.S. Women's Championship for the ladies. Competitors are awarded points based upon their place of finish in the nine “Drive” events. The points from each competitor's four best NT events are then carried forward and totaled with points from the two Championship events to determine 2010 National Tour series champions, and year end series cash bonuses.
