National Tour Back in Action
PDGA National Tour Elite Series presented by Vibram Disc Golf picks back up this weekend.
The “Steady Ed” Memorial Masters Cup presented by DGA will take place this Friday, May 18th, through Sunday, May 20th, in Santa Cruz, CA. The nation’s top players return to DeLaveaga Disc Golf Course, one of the courses from the 2011 Professional World Championships, to play in the second stop on the National Tour. After almost a two month break in the NT schedule, the players are chomping at the bit to get back on the tees. Including this weekend, the next six weeks provide three National Tour events before the Pro/Am World Championships in Charlotte, NC in July. The current standings reflect what happened at The Memorial Championship back in March. Paul McBeth defended his 2011 title there and for the second year in a row jumped out to the early lead. Valarie Jenkins began her season with a win and took the lead in the women's standings. Be sure to stay tuned to PDGA.com Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for all scoring and results for the 27th Annual “Steady Ed” Masters Cup.
