The annual PDGA awards banquet and Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place during the 2009 PDGA Pro/Am Disc Golf World Championships in Kansas City Missouri.

The 2009 PDGA World Championships is a disc golf event of historic proportions. The most players; 11 incredible courses; players from 13 nations; and the world class city of Kansas City all provide the backdrop to the excitement of having 22 individual World Champion titles awarded to every division in our sport.

Both played incredibly all week, but it was Avery Jenkins winning the sudden death playoff on the fifth hole to complete the Jenkins' family sweep of the Open Division. Valarie won the Women's Open Division earlier to capture her third consecutive World Championship Crown.
