Revolutionis the best bag as far as long term durabilty and quality workmanship. I have had bad luck with Gateway bags falling apart far too quickly for the money you pay for them.

I use a Rev. club bag. It doesn't hold as many discs as the team bag, but I don't want to carry a suitcase! It is also about half the cost.
I am pleased with the size of the pockets on both ends and you can easily fit 2 putters in the putter pocket. I don't play as much as I have in the past, so I'm not as hard on my golf bag. However, I have noticed NO WEAR on the bag I have used for 2 seasons. Revolution makes a great bag!! |

I am currently on my 2nd bag in two years. One PDGA Tour bag and one INnova Tour. in my opinion they both are good designs but the material and durability have not lasted through my abuse.
as soon as the carolina team bag comes out, i am going revolution.

I have a revolution texas edition team bag. It's still in it's first season, but I have not seen any significant wear just yet. I guess if you are hard on your equipment it doesn't matter what kind bag you have, it will break eventually.
Speaking of bags I once saw this guy throw his disc golf bag about 60 feet after missing a putt...Has anyone else ever seen someone throw their DG bag out of frustration?? I wish I could have gotten that on film

My brother is a better putter throwing the whole bag than just his Aviar!

Revolution is a great bag... the gateway backpack is good too. Both very durable in my experience.

I carry a Revolution mini. I Carry about 8-10 discs in it, so it works good for me, and it seems really durable.

I shredded a Gateway backpack bag in about 6 months. The staps totally fell apart and the stiching came out on the seams. Being that they cost almost as much as a Revolution bag, I would spend the extra $$$.

Innova Tour by far, but I have never seen a revolution bag in real life. But compared to anything Discraft, Gateway, or anyone else has, it is by far top notch. Such great quality.

One the of the best bags I've ever gotten was also the cheapest. At Academy sports in Texas you can get these cheap-[*****] "Golfmate" brand bags. They are actually made for disc golf, and hold up REALLY well for the 9-12$ they run (9 bucks for the small, 12 or 13 for the large). The only downside is that the strap is attached and would require major modifications for a quad-shock to be attached. Also as far as larger bags go, I'm currently using the PDGA Tour bag with Phenix quad-shocks and have yet to see one loose seam!

As for bags, I currently use a Lightning bag that I've had for almost 2 years with no rips and little wear. If I'm going to pay $150 for a bag, it better be a friggin' Tumi!! I pay for quality...i just pay less. |

Adam, I had a Golfmate bag that didn't make it to 6 months. The seams didn't bust but the material on the bottom of the bag tore from where I would put it on the ground. I didn't even get to kick it before I couldn't use it anymore.

Mine hasn't torn yet, but I do see the wear spots on the bottom that could lead to a tear. Oddly enough I've had mine for about 2-2 1/2 years now, without a single tear. It seems like it's real hit or miss with bags, even the expensive ones, some last longer than others within the same brand name. Is there any piece of consistently durable disc golf equipment???????

I have a Sky South bag, (the one with the person putting, a basket, and the words Disc Golf printed on it) holds up to 16 or so discs, plus a putter pocket (holds 2 putters) big inside pocket, mini pocket, outside side pocket, big drink holder, my only problem with the drink holder is a 12oz can will fall through the bottom. Padded shoulder strap, and a D towel ring. Great bag, I've had it since 1998! The zipper broke, but the bag has held up through the torture I put it through. No seams have split. Great bag.

I have an elite pro Discraft bag. It holds about 15 discs in the main compartment. The stiching is quite good, no wears or tears after heavy use. The main feaure of this bag is the huge storage compartment which can even carry extra discs if you like. So I guess you could have 20 discs if you wanted. All in all this is an above average bag, 4 of 5 stars.

i have one of the medium sized innova bags, with the big zipper pocket on one end and the cell phone/scorecard flap pouch and drink holder on the other end. it might be called the "innova deluxe bag" but i dont remember. it was $35 at play it again sports but they told me "$10 off any bag" when i was in there looking at discs, so i got it for $25. great deal.
i've had it almost 1.5 years, but it's been through lots of hell. i've probably played over 500 rounds in that year and a half, and the only tearing is the drink holder is coming away from the bag, but i can probably repair that. it's not too bad yet. i used to really overstuff the bag..i could get at least 22 discs in there..i think it's only designed for about 15 or so. these days i try to limit my disc carrying to around 14 or so. if/when it falls apart...i'll get the revolution bag...i've seen them, and i like them alot. |

Now, that is just silly!
The Alabama Team bag! Made with duct tape and reinforced with bubble gum. Smells like Virginia Slims and dead racoon! |
