Go to discgolfer.com then hit the Buy Online button at the top right then go to the desired bag and click on colors...you should see what is available and what colors are ordered. Also you'll see how many are in stock. Looks like they'll have about every color next week! I called and talked to Dave himself...!

I know this has been posted numerous times, but....
I have been using a Lightning Large bag for roughly a year now, and both side pockets are starting to rip out. I plan on playing a lot more next year than what I did this year and want something that will last for me for a while. Right now I'm thinking the PDGA tour bag looks best for the money. I saw this bag a couple of weeks ago and it looks nice, but doesn't anyone have reviews of it?? Thanx |

Guess I forgot to add that money's quite tight at the moment and don't want to pay more than I have to. If I had the money, I wouldn't be posting here and be placing an order with Revolution.

Gateway runs about as much as a revolution, so I'd go Revo between those 2.

You get what you pay for when it comes to bags. Revolution and Gateway are the absolute best bags but cost the most. I'd say it's a three way tie after that with Innova, Discraft, and the PDGA bag. Lighting bags are the cheapest but as you found out, they're also the least durable.
I had the same mindset as you a couple years ago when trying to choose a bag. Budget was was main concern. I went through a Lighting bag, the PDGA tour bag, and two Innova tour bags within about two years. These bags are good for about 6-12 months before the zippers give way and the material by the cup holder starts to fall apart. I bought my Revolution bag a little over a year ago and it looks brand new!!! Nothing has broken and the zipper are of the highest quality, plus the internal frame system is great! If you're truley going to be playing more this year, you should spend the extra $50 and get the premium bag. If you get anything other than Gateway or Revolution, you'll probably end up buying two over the course of next year and spend the same amount of money. Plus, Revolution is made in the USA as opposed to most of the others (China, Tawain, etc)...the craftmenship really shows.

rice. It did still get warn out though. Just think, you can buy a PDGA or Innova bag every two years for the next ten years, or just buy a Revo bag and have that for longer. You'll def. be saving money.

On the site it looks like all their top bags hold 12-14, and the main difference is the material they're made of. I see that the pro and the carolina have 2 water bottle holders (another reason I want a new bag) I know I carry too many discs with me, but I don't like changing them out for certain courses, but I have about 25 discs in my bag at the moment, is there a revo that will carry that many?? I don't want a dual pack though.

Get a Gateway tour! It is like $90 and holds at least 20 discs. It is made un STL and is well worth the money. I had mine for three years before getting a Gateway backpack bag.

I almost forgot you can usually get used ones from the shop for like $50 or so.

If you don't need to carry every disc you own an old Wall City bag is great. They were as good as it got before Rev. started making bags.
Someone on the boards would have one. Heck I have an old Wall City cube I would let go to a good home. Still in great shape. |

I agree with the above post. 25 discs is about 17 too many. all you need is 3 putters, understable mid, overstable mid, understable driver, overstable driver, and extremely overstable driver then you are set. Its alot easier on your back and you get to know your plastic really well.

I own a Gateway Weekend Deluxe and I love it.
I also own a Gateway Starter bag for short trips or various times that I only want to carry a few discs such as when I'm traveling. It's also great for what it's meant to do. You won't go wrong with Gateway. GottaGoGottaThrow has the best prices on bags.

The new Innova touring bag is a good option. It has an all new design and I think marshall street is selling them for $60. I have seen one in person and it had a lot of disc space 2 bottle holders and large side pockets. I think it is up there very close to revolution as far as space and durability. Much more durable than the previous touring bag model.
Also 25 Discs?!?!?!?!? You need 2-3 putters 3 mids 3 Drivers Faiway driver Utility disc (roller, thumber) and 2-3 backups for personal assurance. Thats 15 Max. I couldn't imagine needing that many. Just remember that you are doing the work not the disc. Rely on your game, not the numerous dummy discs innova and discraft and those other companies tell you that you need. People nowadays have a disc for every 5 degrees hyzer or anny instead of changing their wrist angle. Be confident in YOUR game not the disc manufacturer's game. Whatever happened to a few Rocs being beat to different stability?
