Mini Revolution Bag with Quad Shocks !!!!!!!

Awesome. Holds 12-14 plus water bottle and towel.

Doesn't hurt my back or shoulders. Can run with it on if needed to.

Light weight and very comfortable.
If it had a waist harness , I could go rock climbing !!!!!

The "best" really depends on what size bag you want and how much you want to spend.

You can also get more information from these threads:

Which DG Bag to buy?

Disc Golf Bag Suggestions

There is also my “Bag Buyers Guide” at my MSN Group “Disc Golf Resources”.

Finally, when you’re ready to buy check out this thread:
Looking for the best online retailer
Look for the comparison chart of prices. Prices vary quite a bit.

For my needs and budget I’m planning to buy the Gateway Weekend Deluxe from GottaGoGottaThrow. If you want a big bag and have lots of money then Revolution is also a good choice.

Default a better bag???

I'm in the market for a new bag and can't decide which to get.
The choices that I am concidering are Gateway Backpack, Santa Cruz, and Innova Tour bag w/ quads. I am leaning towards the Gateway but have yet to see one in person. The Santa Cruz looks almost too big but has some neat features ie cooler, two drink holders. And the Innova because of price.
I wouldn't mind a revolution, but they seem just a little steep after tax and shipping. If anyone has any input or opinions to sway me, I'm all ears.
Thanks,
JB

I would have to go witn revolution as well...

ALthough
I have an older generationg Gateway Backpack(doens't have the inside putter pocket and missing the extra water bottle holder) and it's held up for over 2 years.. I used to play 3-4 rounds a day at least 3-4 days a week and it's held up well.
The only PROBLEM with it is that it isn't comfortable to wear as it never seems to sit quite right on my back, but maybe the new ones are different.. Try asking Shanest or williethekid. they are both sponsored by gateway and i believe both have the newer backpack bags.

I have a backback bag and I like it better than my old revolution one. To me it is very comfortable. Also the tour nag would be a good choice because we just introduced the new G-shocks which are as good if not better than Quads

Just downsized from a big bag to Innovas smallest bag, holds 10 discs, the rounds are easier now without carrying the 40 pound of junk everywhere. I limit myself to 8 discs now to lighten the load:

1 putter not 3, if I lose my putter I deserve it
1 beat X-Press instead of 2. If I lose that I have to anhyzer something else
2 new Orcs, gotta have 2. Hit one tree they are out of the bag.
1 Z plastic disc for rocks and trees so I don't ruin any discs
1 Roc instead of 2
1 super overstable disc like CE Firebird or Monster
1 10 X KC Teebird instead of 2 or 3 like I used to carry.

I'm so slick now with my lightweight bag. Holds only 1 beer though, but has a pocket for the gortex raincoat.

I tried quite a few, Gateway, Innova, Lightning, etc...

I never wanted to spend the money on a Revolution either. I broke down and bought the Texas bag a couple years ago and hooked up the quadshocks and never looked back.

Best bag investment I ever made.

I have a newer Gateway Backpack bag and it works great. there is only one insulated drink holder, but there's another zippered pouch that might hold a smaller diameter drink (a 12 oz. can or maybe a 20 oz. bottle) if you really want it to. I've had it since this last winter and while I only play a couple of rounds a week it hasn't shown any wear yet. I personally find it comfortable and like how much space is in there. My only complaint is that the divider didn't fit onto the frame, but I really don't want the divider attached anyway, so it isn't an issue for me.

I also like that I could use it as a regular backpack if needed. I doubt I'll ever need it for that, but it's nice to know it's there.

I will tell you what- I had the Innova Tour bag for about a year, and the side pockets have huge rips where they connect to the main disc holder. Other than that, which is pretty much cosmetic, it held up nice.

But, yesterday I received my Revolution Carolina, and it feels like I am carrying 50% less weight than my Innova. Waaay lighter, and it looks indestructible. Definately worth the extra $40-50 for me.

Thats not all folks. Along with my Revo bag, they sent me a FREE PAIR OF $40 QUADS!!!!!! I don't know if they messed up or I got lucky, but I think it was a little of both. I would reccomend the Carolina all the way.

I just recieved my Carolina bag about a month ago; the rust is a lot nicer than it looks on the website.

The problem with Innova is that you will be replacing it soon; I've owned two of them.

On the weight issue, for some reason, the revolution bag seems lighter than my other bags. I used the bag for a week before my quadshocks came in. It may be the strap that comes with it.

I'm not sure about the Santa Fe bag; read up on it and make sure it is constructed solidly. I saved for 6 months to get my revolution bag, and it was worth it.

i took some out before a tournament, and ended up breaking my only roc at said time. I realized how much that disc makes a par easier

Both Gateway ( http://www.gdstour.com/ ) and Revolution ( http://www.discgolfer.com/ ) are considered to be top quality. If either of them are too expensive, Innova, PDGA and Lightning all make compareable bags.

I've had a lightning bag for a year and it's in good condition. Got it cheap off ebay. If you're only gonna carry 8-12 discs you don't really need a bulletproof bag. Do yourself a favor though and get a mid quality bag so you have a putter pocket, zippered closures and a drink holder.

Ive had one of those small lightning bags for 5 years... it was only like $15, has a drink holder (big enough for a 40oz), zippered compartment and a velcro one on the other side.

It depends on your budget. But if it's in your price range you won't go wrong with the Gateway Weekend Deluxe. I got one about a month ago and it's even better than I expected.

Check out the "Bag Buyers' Guide" at my MSN Group "Disc Golf Resources".

When you're ready to buy Gotta Go Gotta Throw has the best prices, but Disc Golf World and Discovering the World are also good vendors.

I had a Discraft Elite Tour bag. It cost me like $40 and took one heck of a beating. I've moved up to a gateway tour bag I picked up on e-bay. Definately something to look at though.

Ok, I finally got a bag off of ebay, an Innova Deluxe bag for $30. I have one question. It came with a sleeve for 6 discs but it also has 3 more velcro pads that it came with. What are these for?

I suggest taking all that stuff out and building a frame for the bag

I would assume one is for the bottow and the other 2 are for the front and back of the bag but im not sure.

I use an old duffle bag. Holds about 20 discs & has two zippered end compartments. One to keep drinks in, the other for keys/wallet/etc. Cost. $9.95.
Disc golf bags are for suckers.
