while talking with a player from Nashville about bags. He told me that after the bracings in his Revo bag broke (after 3 months), he gutted his Gateway tour bag and put those bracings in his Revo bag. He has had that particular setup for about a year with no damage. Of course you would have to buy two bags to get that combo.

I can attest to the durability of the Gateway bags! I won a Gateway Player bag at Am Worlds in 1998. I carried it for 6 years and did just about everything to a bag that you can imagine (kicking, stomping, covering with pins and patches, running over with a car, dropping off a bridge, lighting it on fire...ok, maybe I am exaggerating a little, but you get the point). The bag is still in great shape, and I still use it when playing some of the short, dusty local courses...that is, if I am not carrying my discs in a plastic grocery bag (long story...don't ask).

I am currently using a Gateway backpack bag (that I also won) because I can cram extra towels and discs into it. For the record, I fit 42 discs and two towels into my bag the last time I threw in a field. Also, since the Midwest is in the midst of the spring thaw, I don't care how muddy or wet my bag gets.

When the nice weather rolls around, I will get my Revolution bag out of the closet. I must admit that after spending $100 on a bag, I have become much better about not kicking my bag after the occasional bad shot!

By bracings do you mean internal frame? You can go to your local Lowes or Home Depo and find the material you need to make bracings.

I mean it! How is that for an endorsement? I bought a Revolution bag and it instantly improved my composure!

If I recall correctly, a very pie-eyed friend "helped" me pick out my bag at the Des Moine Worlds. You don't recall who that might have been, do you Brad?

LOL, its all a blur, but I might have been there.
I just a new Carolina one this week and am about to go give it its first round today. I am hoping to stop the kicking myself, but its kinda hard when you have single holes where you take 58.

Must have been like on Tin Cup... lay up or go for it.. go for it... miss... repeat until discs are all gone.

Don't feel badly Bradley. It isn't like you kicked your bag so many times that it came unstitched and had to be "Frankensteined" back together with a shoelace. I still laugh every time I see that bag!

Have a fun round this afternoon! I will see y'all for the ace race next weekend. Maybe we can get some JagBag BagTag action going in the afternoon?

Ya I'll never live that one down. It was a special hole at our halloween tourney. There was about a 20 foot ring around the basket you had to land your disc in or else it was OB and you had to rethrow from the tee. I emptied a bag and a half. LOL. I just couldn't seem to get it. Did in practice on like 7 out of 10 throws, but then coudln't in the round. It was pretty comical.
One of the funniest lines.
JohnKnudson looking at our score card(the hole was #18)"Wow Brad shot 58 - thats pretty good" Chad holding the scorecard"No that was just hole 18 I haven't added the scores up yet."
In my defense it was much easier for the Right Handers than the lefthanders like myself.

Cool sounds good, I'll see if Clark can put the three of us on the same card like at the Ironman.

I have had the same bag for 3 years and it hasnt come close to coming apart yet, the only thing that wrong is it might be a little dirty.

Yeah getting a bigger bag helped me with my temper. I used to have a small 8 disc practice bag until I moved up to a Innova Tour bag. Now I carry 25 discs. During a round where I threw into unnavigatable shule for the second time on the same hole, I kicked my bag square in the middle. Needless to say I broke my toe nail in half, but have yet to kick my bag again.

It was a tuff hole.I took a 10 in the first round.I dont know if Id say much easier for righties. After the first 10 OBs the problem may lie elsewhere.Probably the discs,Brad. Ill take those unruly CE Leopards off your hands though.

I bet you would chase. If I ever feel like giving away the trusty CE leopards I'll let you know.
Back to the thread topic. Just played my first round with my new Carolina Bag. Love it so far. And the dual Drink Holders rocks. I could bring my water and another beverage with. What a great bag, and the frame works great keeping all your discs upright.
I love it.
The one I would never buy and shouldn't even be on the list is the innova tour bag. Wow what a cheap bag that is. Where the shoulder straps connect ripped out on mine in about a years time.

No offense taken, so no need to apologize to me.

I do think that you and Steve both need to cool it a little, though.

Default Revolution

I leaning heavily toward buying a Revolution bag. I guess Pimp is pretty persuasive. Nah, actually the vast number of positive comments and loyal support make me think that I can't go wrong.

I once saw a Revolution bag (I think it was the old "Casual") but I didn't like how you had to tuck in the flap and it seemed like a hassle when discs were in the bag. I'm just used to rolling up the top flap. Does this ever bother anybody else?

Bigg_Pimp_le bought his Carolina bag at Worlds last year, when they were first available. He also lives in a snowbound state, so, for him it may be that he uses the bag for only 9 months of the year, but honestly, he probably USES more than most, as he's constantly traveling to play tournaments. Default Rev. Club bag

I have the Revolution club bag, and it is more than I'll ever need. Sometimes I wish that the drink holder was a little more sturdy like on the Texas bag, but it is still really nice, and holds a lot. I carry a lot of drivers, and it holds way more than the 12-14 it says it does.

Default Hot pink Revolution?

I'd go with revolution, better quality. If you only want to purchase one bag and have no problems and no complaints, then revolution is the way to go.

By the way, Anyone have any deals on the revolution team bag in Hot Pink? I want to get a bag for the girlfriend, and since she has finally decided to take it seriously, i figured I should reward her.

The Revolution is a sweet bag and the quality is very high indeed. However mine is approx. a year and a half old and the frame is starting to wear through the bottom of the bag. Right after I purchased mine I noticed they started to reinforce the bottom with some sort of heavy vinyl which might take care of this problem though.
