Ladies, please mark your calendars for 12 May, 2012. This will be the first ever PDGA Women's Global Event. You can either join one of the large tournaments currently being proposed, or plan a small event of your own where you live. This will be a world wide event, with ratings established similarly to previous PDGA Global Events. PDGA is currently taking tournament proposals to include in this event, if you're interested you can follow the developments at http://www.discgolf4women.com/ (this site also contains other resources for women disc golfers, and is growing).

We have already registered an event here in Oregon, and the ladies are super excited for the Chick Flick Women's Global Event. Any idea when the player registration will be live? I am getting a lot of questions about that from our girls wanting to sign up already.

Yup I have been checking that link every day, and our WGE is not listed as one of the options. We registered our stand alone event almost two weeks ago now. I know they are working on getting all the events added to the registration page, so we are just patiently waiting now. We are all super excited for the event though. Cindy

Cindy, sorry I never replied, I don't keep up with this forum very well. I hope everything worked out well.
Today I noticed there are 450 women signed up for the WGE...A huge success! I'm so happy to see this take root, and seeing a whole new world of ladies disc golf take off before our very eyes. Thanks to everyone involved, all the TDs, and PDGA's Women's Committee, for making this happen! |

Just to confirm....... For the WGE, the $10 non member fee is waived for women and men?

Do we get points too? It's an XC tier? Points value is the same as for c tier?

For detailed questions, I would refer everyone to discgolf4women.com or even better, to the Facebook page for discgolf4women.com (simply search for it, easy to find).

You get points based on the tier and finish position in your local event. No additional points for your standing in the global consolidation event.
