Positive point here:
Maybe they are scrambling trying to figure out how to make room
For more Pros since the response is so overwhelming? And since they
Took spots away from the pro Masters and expanded alot of other
Divisions except the Pros they see opportunity to really be one of the
Biggest Worlds ever on the Am side and the Pro side!!
You think they are still getting people signing up for the waitlist?
I can't even imagine they would still be getting waitlist entries at this point,
But, I guess you never know. Hopefully they are getting close to getting it posted
Soon.

I know nothing new at this point. And we're not looking at increasing any pool sizes. But then, that can't even be done until they get the official registration and waitlists posted.

As long as you meet all the criteria as a player (passed officials test, current PDGA member)

Just signup on the same form and click on which you want - applies to doubles, flymart, banquet, any ancillary things.

I was told that they cannot add any additional courses or players by the guy running the tourney. He told me they were out of courses to add...sad sad sad to turn away that money and those disc golfers wanting to play. Surely between all the great minds working on this, they could come up with a solution to accomadate all the players that wished to participate

You would think so especially since they took spots away from the
Pro master division only to have ams consume what was left when it came
Down to the wire. It is what is. I would be good if just my other son would get
In cause I don't matter.

Two ?'s
Can anyone confirm that there are still 2 spots available in MPM (Pro Masters)? i am counting 94 people displaying as registered and 96 people as the cap for the division.

Secondly i am not understanding the 96 person cap in the MPM field. The MPM and MPO divisions are playing the exact same amount of courses (3) and 2 of the 3 courses are shared bewteen the divisions but played on different days. so my question is why is the MPM field capped at 96 and the MPO field has 144 spots? any information as always is greatly appreciated.

MPM is pooled with the Adv Women one day and MJ2 another day. These are the kinds of compromises that have to be made with a combined Pro/Am Worlds with X number of courses.

When my daughter got the call last week, they told me that her group (x) had the only 2 spots left in any division.

Thanks Gvan. the registration list hasn't been updated in a few days so i am more just trying to confirm that the cap for MPM is in fact 96 people as advertised and not full at 94 people which is what is showing now. Thanks for the info. though!

I'm certain the MPM cap is 96 and isn't likely to move.

You beat me to it! http://www.pdga.com/2012worlds/waitlist-update-05-15

"Once a withdrawal is received, the first person on the waitlist for that particular division will then be contacted by phone for three days. If after three days there is no response, we will move on to the next person on the wait list. Once we have a registrant wishing to play, both the registration and wait lists will be updated."

Maybe I am missing something but I don't see an updated waiting list.
Just the same one from 4/30.
Link?

Down at the bottom of the Current Waitlist it should read "Last Update: 5/14/12 11:00pm EST"

Still don't see it. All I keep pulling up from the "current waitlist" is
the one dated 4/30

How about a direct link to the waitlist?
Thanks

Any idea on how often the waitlists and registration pages will be updated? Cal mentions above that he got in, yet he's still listed on the waitlist and not on the registration list. Dave has also mentioned that he's in, and he's not listed on the waitlist but is on the registration page, so I'm assuming he got in earlier than Cal.

Suggestions: Find some way to put a "last updated" date/time on the list of registered players. Keep players who have moved off the waitlist on the physical list, but strike through their names. That way those of us who are hanging on the edge have some way of seeing if there has been movement. I understand the enormity of the task, just trying to pass along a suggestion to keep the minions (myself included) from growling as much.

I'm already in, but my son is 14th on the MA1 waitlist. I was waiting until the PayPal balance from sold discs was enough to sign him up. My mistake.
