Yeah it was nice to see TREE out again......says something about his game to be playing only the second round in over a year and shoot that score in that wind.............but after seeing him today, you would have thought he was in a football game not playing golf, as he said to me "May, my body hurts all over today".....So I told him to show up more and the pain would go away over time. I guess I never thought that all the walking and throwing we do is really a good workout....now I can say I DO workout 2-3 times a week........Hang in there TREE and hope to see you more often this spring & summer....

ok folks here are the OB rules for weds and sunday .. if you are unsure if you are in or not please play a provisional then we can figure it out at the end.
2M rule and cable that runs around the park is OB line. >> >> Hole 1 water past basket is OB. >> >> Hole 2 water on left side and on or beyond sidewalk on the right side >> is OB. >> >> Hole 3 surrounded by water in creek on left hand side is OB. >> >> Hole 4 surrounded by water in creek on left side and past bridge / on >> or beyond sidewalk on right side is OB. >> >> Hole 5 fence line on right side is OB line >> >> Hole 6 fence line on right side is OB line >> >> Hole 7 fence line on right side is OB line >> >> Hole 8 fence on far right side is OB . >> >> Hole 9 double mando. >> >> Hole 10 cable past hole by road is OB line. >> >> Hole A cable on left side and on or beyond dirt road on right side is OB. >> >> Hole 11 On or beyond sidewalk on right side is OB. >> >> Hole 12 No OB's >> >> Hole 13 on or beyond sidewalk on right side is OB. >> >> Hole C OB is circled pile of rocks. If no paint use where the tall grass begins as the OB line. >> >> Hole B no OB'S >> >> Hole 14 no OB's. >> >> Hole 15 no OB's. >> >> Hole 16 water on left side and walking path on far right are OB. >> >> Hole 17 water on left side is OB. >> >> Hole 18 In electrical fence area and past basket on or beyond >> concrete parking lot is OB. >> >> So no OB on the schule for right side C hole nor left side of hole 17. >> And no OB in standing water for 4,6,7,11. Only flowing water in creek >> beds is considered OB water. Last edited by seewhere; Apr 02 2010 at 10:31 AM. |

No it's not your problem since you were the TD - the confusion came out of the statement BEFORE the round of playing original OB - we played a provisional and then asked after the round. Many people had different opinions including V who stated it was OB since many consider this OB original since it has been there now for years. ET counted it as OB at that time. I asked you once you got back on the ruling when your answer was - To Bad, I called all blue flags in-bounds. I understand now it would have meant we would have tie you and this meant a few less $$$ to you thus no discussion and we take the penalty. I am happy to follow this philosophy as well in the future – if it benefits me then count me in otherwise forgot it…

Not true Mikey. I did not know you played a provisonal. Had I known that I would of definately given you the stroke back. My bad and I do apologize. I'm not one to squabble over a couple of bucks, sorry you see it that way. I'll cover your entry this Wednesday. Most of the paint is gone and you can't see it. So that would of opened up a whole new can of worms. Again Mike sorry about that. So if someone wants to take a couple hours out of there day and about $20 go repaint them.

No worries on the entry but thanks for the offer... I never got a chance to mentioned the provisional - figured it was a moot point after you mentioned to bad. All good though.

It was announced before cards were drawn that none of the paint was OB - I doubt anyone listened since most everyone was talking or getting CFO's.
We don't play the tournament rules because we can't even get people to play the regular OB right - 2 metrs, creek & beyond, etc. On hole 9 there is OB - the double mando. Heard a member say a week ago that they didn't know that was a mondo - I know, you'd think the orange paint & M's would be a good clue, but... We all know members look at Wed from many perspectives. Some people are just there for the good time & don't care about their score - it's hard to mix people that wanna get hammered & not think about jacksheet with those of us that wanna get hammered and play by the rules as they are published in e mails and on discussion boards. I play by all the rules & am aware of them all the time - I helped make them along with the rest of the old cabinets. If you asked every member, they'd have difrent ideas of what's OB - like across the creek on hole 2/4 by the bridge. Yes, that's OB. 2 meters - they don't know & next week the answer would not be the same. I bet if you asked all the cabinet members, they may have differing opinion on what the OB is too. Unfortunately, many players don't care, don't listen, & don't retain information. Good news is we're playing for a $3 bet, so it's truely not the end of the world. At the end of the night, you know if you played well, so let's grab another CFO & enjoy ourselves. Sorry there was confusion again this week. As of next week all the OB's Ware listed & the mando's will be in effect for Wed & Sun, miss added score cards will be stroked & there will be no late sign up & the cabinet will not hold payout for next week. Next week skins - payout by # of skins won. We'll take the number of players times $3 divided by 21 holes divided by the number of cards sent out - it comes out to about .57 per skin with 4 person cards. Sign up cuts off @ 4:45 - 5:00 tee.

Chris - didn't get the word that you had printed cards - will use them next week.
Great time last night, quick play & enough time for CFOs & putting after the round. Big skin winners - Mike Ware (19), Steve-O (19), Martin (17) No skin winners - Lala (but I pushed them all for Ware 2 to take) & Patti (Jeff & Joe schooled her). Think everyone else got paid atleast .50

Ware any rain coming our way today? I haven't seen the forecast this week. Looking forward to playing after a long weekend of running TWC.

I will not be able to do sign up today - happy to do payout after the round. Steve-O, Ware - could one of you run sign up? Random Doubles.
I'll have the new club shirts for ya'll after the round. New logo - black or white shirt $10 - even a few ladies cut this year. I'll also bring th eclub merch if anyone's looking for some plastic. Don't forget you must be a current member before the round for the $250 ace pot, otherwise it's just todays ace pot for you. I can't post the list of current members from work - you know if you've paid in 2010.
