Default JoBee here

Hey everyone, I got a new layout for greenwood approved! It changes a few holes, but most will remain the same. Also, they are ready to put in tee boxes so I am showing them where the new tees will be on tuesday. Now we just need to get some guys together, to go out and move a few baskets. Hopefully some time this week, when the ground is still a little wet. Also the Greenwood mini is moving to Sunday. I'll post times later.

I'm just curious WHO approved the new layout ?????

Also I'm wondering do they understand how a Disc Golf tee box compared to a sidewalk differ ????? Because after they pour the concrete its to late !!!!!!! So..... we need to make sure they know the difference at the start !!!!!!!

Just a thought !!!!!!!!

Please keep in mind when designing new holes that its not about how ace-able the hole is but what kind of shot it forces you to throw. We dont need multiple holes that look like hole 1. Its great to keep a variety on a course and to add new elements.
And I think this went through kind of quickly and I just hope they have done their research on what a quality teebox should be.

The layout was approved by Doug, the parks director. The new holes will be from 250ft - 375ft with one double mando, and a basket or 2 on hill sides, like 10 was before. It will play around the new building and meet back up at hole 12. Chance is the guy in charge of tee boxes and he is on a tight schedule to get this done. So he has to know all the tee spots by tues. or he can't pour them. I will check with him to make sure he gets tees level with ground and about the kind of concrete. I'm meeting with him tuesday evening, So if anyone has any questions or wants to see the layout before I show him. Just text or call me at (479-414-1491).

Sounds Good !!!!!! What time Tuesday evening, because if I can be there I will be there !!!!!! JoBee you don't want this whole thing on your shoulders bye yourself !!!!!!! Because the citicism will come from somewhere, so cover your base (@$$) and that's all you can do !!!!!!!!!

How many holes are we getting rid of to take the place of the new ones (#1 I hope) !!!!!!!

Also Doug is the Parks Director that needs to approve the layout just for logistics and safety purposes for the park in general !!!!!! But the Disc Golf layout needs approving through as many possible eyes as we can get !!!!!! (cover ya @$$)

Hopefully we can come up with an awesome layout that makes everyone happy !!!!!! But if not we need to make sure all angles were covered !!!!!!

http://www.discgolf.com/installation...d-install.html

it's not rocket science

level, allowing for drainage, top flush with ground so no ankle breakers

AND PROPER NON SLIP SURFACE

Broom the surface by running a concrete broom perpendicular to the throwing direction

and Roger, he'll be there around 4:30...meeting with the boy scout, Chance McBee, at 6:30

is anyone running the Tilles mini at 6? (I can't, I'm stuck without a ride, Christy is at school tonight)

WOW !!!!! I made it out yesterday and walked some of the new holes !!!!!! First of all Bell Park up top is awesome and the shots are endless !!!!! I'm glad that I don't have to make that decision on which ones to incorporate into the new layout of the course !!!!

Also found out which holes that are going away #1, #2, #18, and of course #10 that's not there anymore !!!!!!!

Overall this was mind blowing and I hope everything works out !!!!! Because Bell Park in Greenwood deserves the best possible layout that we can give them on this sweet hill top venue !!!!!!

Hey everyone, I'm going out to greenwood today about 3:30 to show the new layout. If you want to see it come on out, this will be our last chance to make any changes, if needed!

Ok, they decided to pour 6 tee pads for each of the next 3 weekends. Holes 12 thru 17 will stay like they are, and they should pour the tees for those 6 holes this weekend. So Sunday I will be going out to try and get this layout figured out for sure, so we can give them the next 6 holes to pour. I would like for as many people who can to come out and give us your opinion. The mini will be at 2pm, but I will be there earlier to work on the layout. I should be there by noon. If we have a few people bring portables out, we can play some new holes and see what everyone thinks. Tee time is at 2pm for the mini, "So come on out and lets play some B"!

Hey Evan
Just wondering if WAFDA has workers ready for the tee pad pour tomorrow ???? I talked to the man last weekend and their pouring 9 pads and I promised myself or somebody from WAFDA would be there for help !!!!!!!

He said they would start pouring around 8:00am !!!!! If we've got more than three or four guys going, then should I run the mini in the morning or not ????

You can give me an answer here or I'll be bye later !!!!!!!!!

I've been in contact with Doug Kinslow - they are currently unsure if they will be able to have a concrete truck there tomorrow

there is plenty of man power through the scout group as far as labor

IDEALLY it will be great to have someone there with knowledge of the final finishing process as far as brooming, just to insure that it's being done correctly, so no huge need for a bunch of us, 1 or 2 will do

as soon as Doug knows timing I'll pass it on

but I'd say you're fine to take care of the mini tomorrow morning, if it does happen we'll have someone as a rep there
