I use an A for drives and its definitly fading later in flight, but it still needs a pop for it to not just hyzer out.

When will these go into production? I love mine. So predictable. I use it for up shots. It got rid of my fly by the basket shot when apporaching and short holes.

How can you not love the summit? Opened the package to find bold red discs with cool yellow vibram logo in the center. These things just look too cool.
Will be doing a full write-up next week. |

Are they being sent out to the testers? I haven't got anything about them.

The tester Summits should be going out next week. I've got the packs together and am getting the shirts / sizes all lined up. I sent some Summits out last week to some folks that are coming to the Vibram Open to see what they think.
(they seem pretty sweet to me though!) |

What plastic blend did the testers get ran in?
And good choice on the red color. Almost as cool as black. |

I am loving this summit for approach shots. Throw it with some hyzer and it flips up nicely. As for a putter, it does work well, but the rim is not quite deep enough for my fingers. If this could be made with just a slightly deeper rim (aviar, magic, etc) it would be perfect for my game. BUt with the shallow rim, I just don't get thr right grip and release for putting. But it is money for upshots. I have hit the basket twice from outside of 200 feet in just 3 rounds played!!

The depth of the rim is very similar to an XD.
Been hitting some huge putts with these things. Just wish they didn't have all the stuff molded on the bottom of the disc, as my hand always rubs on them when putting. |

Yes the logo is there. I got a couple cream colored ones from someone and have used them 5 or so rounds. Les HSS than I had anticipated. I'm finally starting to get them dialed in. I'm still on the fence. The plastic is sweet.

that's too bad about the logo. I think it looked cool/unique, but it causes some wobble in the flight, because it is not symmetrical. In my testing, that was the number one complaint.

I've seen ZERO wobble from it. How's it make it unbalanced when its centered?

it's centered, but it's not circular, thus the weight is not evenly dispersed. I noticed the wobble on my weak putts, so I watched carefully as some local pros used it, for putts as well as 200ft range drives. Same thing, wobble. It's subtle but it's there. It doesn't bother me, it's currently my number one putter, but it could detract from sales. I hope they don't release it like that.

It looks like it is official. I'll be at the Worlds Flymart with my Vibram hat on (please note, the hat is only theoretical, there is no physical hat). I'll have VPs and Summits for folks to test out. Stop on by and let us know what you think.
Woohoo! |

Just unpacked my shiny red Summits. So beeyooteeful; I didn't think dg plastic could be that richly-colored. Love the XD-ish shallow rim & tacky (the oiliness of the VP plastic has been remedied) stiff-but-not-too-stiff plastic. That sharp flashing on the rim is a little uncomfortable, but nothing a little carpet friction won't remedy. Can't wait to get out to the tiki course & put these babies through their paces this evening. Will report back tomorrow.
If only they came in the "rubber vomit" plastic . . . |
