Thanks for the response Dave. I am guessing like me you are either using a JK Aviar-x or a Coyote in those situations. i used to strictly throw straight at the target but in some situations the other approach is beginning to seem the better choice, and i like your situational, rather than prescriptive, answer.

In the span of 24 hours, I managed to
buy a new 168g Champion SW lose my year old 171g Champion SW and buy a new 171g STAR SW (in that order) Now. Is it me, the weight, or the plastic. I have thrown both as my primary driver for 18 holes. The STAR SW seems to have more hyzer on the end of the drive. And it doesn't seem to hold the anny line for as long. If I'm not crazy, then will the STAR SW eventually become more like the Champion and hold the anny line longer. (I throw line-drive style tee shots and my SW distance on the course is between 270' and 300'.) It's making my choice of "go-to" disc hard

Dave, I recently purchased an early Innova Target from a friend. It has a DGA Base on it. He remembers it originaly had a wooden base. Is that possible? I figured it had a green cone / mound. It has threaded pipe, 18 chains on 18 spokes, yellow tapered bottom of basket (like on the "crush your buddies" poster). He may have won it around 1997. I would like to put it back to original as a classic. Thanks.

I've got the two original Innova baskets. One is like a garbage can, all plastic. The other has a steel cage [top & bottom] the pole was plumbing tubes with a toilet inlet screwed to a wood base. These came with plastic tubes, no chains.

Dave,
I just wanted to point out how an excellent job you are doing following up with all these questions, concerns and requests. I also would like to add how well Innova has been pumping out the star line discs in a fast pace. Love the star wraith, firebird and coyote!! Thanks again from all of us!! Josh |

Is it possible that after the generic star stamp, the disc logo might be... no it couldn't possibly be... they wouldn't do it would they... well Abe did make it on the penny...
Too many possibilities for marketing such as a poster with a nun tossing the new disc with the caption, "Get into the Hobbit of disc golf" (I'm sorry, it's just a weird Tuesday) |

What were the years that CE discs were produced? I recently scored an unmarked 2003 generic Ice Bowl stamped driver (likely made in '02)...and I believe it to be a CE TL...could it be?

i had one of those. it was a TL, but i believe it was champion plastic, which is basically the same as ce, except for the 1st [most durable and hard/stiff] and 2nd [softer, much less durable] runs.
