Default any chance for new DX Rocs?

Hi Dave,
The new DX plastic looks/feels great. When can we expect some new DX Rocs? Our club is anxiously waiting for the Rocs in the improved DX plastic so we can stamp them with our new design.
Thanks,
Axis

Rocs have been run in the new mixture, they are mixed in with the previous stock. Most of the stock is new, from what I am told by our inventory clerk.

Dave is employing the "TOOL" album strategy with the STAR Rhynos. Dave, don't make me wait 5 years like Tool did, I know the STAR Rhynos are out there, I just want to know where!

They were just produced. No events have them yet.

He has never been an official team member. He is sponsored. He is independent.

when you are testing a disc to decide what its flight numbers/characteristics are, what plastic are you using?

also, any chance you will be making more discs in the special blend plastic (like the sb roc '06)? that just might be the grippest plastic i have ever used (even when its wet).

We use DX and Champion or Star if we can. Sometimes all three, but usually using either Champion or Star is enough along with DX.

The latest SB Rocs are basically a Star type plastic that had a new slightly stiffer plastic added to the mix. That plastic will be gradually added to our present Star mix and will become the standard.

so the flight path ratings are a mix of the 2/3 different plastics?
or is it dx + star/champion = flight path?

thats awesome that the star is going to be more like the sb.

Yes, but usually the DX and Candy types are fairly close. The Pro types were the most different.

thats awesome that the star is going to be more like the sb.

Would you (or someone) PLEASE notify this thread when and where you distribute Rhynos in this heavenly plastic mentioned above.

This just might turn into a road trip

Do you think the gator would retain it's overstable yumminess of the champion in the star plastic? I would imagine that it would have more DX flight characteristics since it seems that all star blended discs are more stable than their champion counterparts...

I picked up my mini's order from my mailbox today. Today at lunch my friend Ron and I threw them for about a half hour or so. I'm not exaggerating when I say that I can throw these easily 1/3 farther than the champion Aviar minis. ****! I can't wait to get these mini-drivers in champion plastic!

Hi Dave,

If you are about 175 to 250 feet out from the basket for a backhand approach -- and for the sake of argument there exist no obstacles between you and the basket and no wind -- do you feel it is a higher percentage chance to get CTP it if you throw straight and flat, or off to the right with hyzer and letting the disc work itself to the target?

This is individual. For me, it's the hyzer to the right hitting 10 feet or so to the right of the target and squibbing to the target. If you have to land flat, a slight turnover is probably better. The worst shot for me is dead straight at 250 or longer. 100 - 150 dead straight works.
