Hey Dave I was wondering did you make 2 different mold for the Champion Starfires? All the ones that I have trown are clear and not real stable in to the wind but there are a few that my friends throw that have the swirl solid color witch reminds me of SFX that I have thrown a few times which was real stable.
There are L's and X's it will sasy on the bottom of your disc. X's are definitly way better in the wind.

Time frame seems OK but nothing definitive yet. Very close description. I would be glad to send one to Dave or maybe make a trip to Augusta in August to put one in definitive hands.

We make two types of Starfires. The Pro Starfire and SL are L versions. The Star Starfire and Champion Starfire are X versions. The original Champion type Starfire wasn't as stable as the current model. We don't make that type any more.

I have heard many times how different colors fly differently, but I don't know which colors do which, or if it is a consistent thing. From my own experience, it seems to change from color to color, but also from run to run.

I could tell you which model it is, and what type of plastic, but not necessarily why it has that stamp.

I was at a tourny several months ago and was bs-ing about super soft putters. he showed me this proto avair he had, it had a real stiff rim but was soft and grippy. it felt and threw just like a ss but didn't seem like it would become useless in hot/cold or when it slams into a tree real hard. basically it was exactly what i had been looking for. what was the deal with these?
I don't know what a "Proto Aviar" is. If you mean "beadless", it could be the new beadless putter.
New beadless putter? Dave?

I'm darn sure that the new DX Aviar is the beadless mold, same as the star aviar.
Dave- will you not be making any more dx small bead?

Hi Dave. I've been having a lot of fun throwing a couple of CH Eagle L discs I got from Mike Barnett at sunkingdisc.
Is there any chance that this mold might be run again? CH or Star ... doesn't matter to me ... this is a sweet mold. It's done wonders for my game.
I haven't been able to find anymore anywhere.

The new beadless will be the standard, and will take the place of the small bead.

The Eagle was originally in the L form. It got switched later to the x form. All of the new Eagles are back to the original L form. If we do more Xes, they will be special runs for tournaments.

How many JK Protos are there?

The ones I have feature the Innova barstamp logo, saying Pro Line in the middle, then JK Aviar X underneath. It has the more recent barstamp logo.

Dave,
Will the new beadless Aviar's also be San Marino molds? If so, is there a way to identify an original beadless to the new beadless? I hope this doesn't affect the value of my original beadless Aviar's.

Thx, Rob

that's what happens when you buy discs for resale not for throwing.

It's a gamble.

The new beadless mold is a more faithful reproduction of the original Aviar, however you can tell the difference. The bottom of the old type was sharp, the new type is more rounded.

That sounds Great Dave. The rounded rim is alot easier on the grip and release.
Thanks !!!!

So what will be the difference between these new aviars and a Omega? IIRC Omegas don't have a bead either....

All Omegas should have a small bead.

Hey Dave. First off, I have to thank you for all of your time and effort it making discs that improve peoples game and the way that it is played. I had a question about big bead aviars. Will they ever go back into production, or will they only be made in KC plastic?

Dave! Please tell me that you are not coming out with any new driver discs! I shaved 4 strokes off my game with the wraith and another 2 with the Tee-Rex. I just got done switching to all wraiths when the Tee-Rex came out, and now im switching to all Tee-Rexs. If you have a new driver in the works, let me know, and I'll hold off.

Also, why do throw art DX discs seem like harder plastic and what does DX stand for? Anything?

I use throw art strickly for rollers. I know discs are suppose to fly, but if it is not suppose to roll, dont make them circular. LOL. For some reason Throw Art discs are just as stiff as Star Plastic in 175 weight. Only difference is that the Throw Art stands up alot slower than the Star plastic does. Seems like the Throw Art plastic is more durable than the DX as well. Just thinking that some Tee-Rex in throw art plastic would be hella nice.
