Dave,
Nice to see the STAR TLs are ready to throw. How about some 150-class (pleeeeease)? BTW - I can't wait for my order of 150g DX Wraiths to arrive. I look forward to seeing what the buzz is all about!

Love the new DX Wraith plastic Dave. Put some pretty solid licks on trees and rocks yesterday with no cutting and minimal scuffing. And no catastrophic changes in flight pattern either.

Dave, I'm concerned about the overall durability of the Star Plastic. The feel and flight are outstanding when the plastic is brand new. Even the "rim" of the disc does not scuff or chip like the old Pro plastic. However, the disc's stability over time has been disappointing. Case in point: I purchased a 173 Star Beast and threw it 20-25 ft further than any of my Champ Beasts. But over the course of about a month, this same Star Beast has now become so understable that it's approaching "roller status"! There are no dings or nicks...visually, it's still in perfect condition, but it's stability has been completely comprimised. Now I play in Austin where there are plenty of mesquite trees and rocks, and god knows I have hit my share, but for the stability to change so drastically in a month's time is very disappointing. I asked several other players in my area and have received very similar feed back...Do you think this could be corrected before the second and third runs are released? Until then, I'll stick with the Champion Plastic....

jon E P,
Make sure your Older beasts are the same mold as the Star Wraith. The Star Beast has a flatter bottom lip, almost straight, while the original Beasts has a lower angle to it. The original Beast is more overstable, while the Star Beast (and Pro and new DX) are a turnover disc. The change was made as the Orc was too similar to what the original Beast was. Both are great discs, IMO, but they were simply too similar in characteristics. The new Beast is quite a bit more understable, and if you throw it like you do your older beasts, it will tend to turn over and possibly roll. It's a great finesse disc, give it a little hyzer and it's a great flyer.

Dave, a few questions from an avid rhyno thrower.
1. Are there any plans to mold a star rhyno? if not, WHY. 2. Why was the plastic changed when Innova dropped "Line" from the Pro Line Rhyno stamp (seems the new "Pro Rhyno's" are much softer)? 3. Any chance you know how many of the green "Pro Line" Rhyno's were made? That's about it. Anyone out there who has any green pro line rhyno's who wants a trade or some cash, lemme know. Thanks |

Dave,
The old 10X Teebirds had many different runs of plastic that ranged from taffy, kc, ce/kc blend. Were there any that were run just with ce plastic only with the 10X stamped on it? The reason I ask is I have a 10X Teebird with a double stamp clearwater alien stamp that I swear is ce plastic only. I hold it up to the other 2 white/cloudly CE Teebird T mold I have and it looks and feels the same. If so how many do you think were ran? Well I know at let one for sure hehe. Let me know thanks. Josh Here is a picture of it. Kind of cool how the clouds are reflecting of the disc. .

Try Mark at discgolfvalues.com Mark has CE discs for sale on his web site, and you can ask him if he has what you're looking for. Tough set to complete, or should I say expensive. Good luck.

I got a DC ProD Challenger in a players pack. I like it and I wonder what Innova disc is most like it ? I think a Bulldog must be more overstable but I hope to try one of those soon.

Aviars and challengers are almost identical.

a dx big bead flies very similar to a pro d challenger. The only thing is that the aviar is more domed and has way more glide.

you are probably talking about the Aviar P & A.
Aren't Challengers copies of the (more stable) big bead Aviar? (aka: JK Aviar-X, KC Pro Aviar, etc.) |

Robj: you are mostly correct as far as my observations go. The thing that I've noticed that is different between the two is that the bead on the challenger is slightly wider and flatter than the more narrow and rounded bead on the big bead aviar.

2. We tried to make it softer to be more like the first run, more durable, and less like the DX. 3. No clue on the green discs, but generally we don't run much green.

Thanks Dave. I figured there had to be a batch run of CE stamped with 10X.
How was the Memorial? |

Dave,
What new discs do you see coming out this year? I'm not looking for names or anything, but maybe a description of what you have in mind (i.e. when the roadrunner came out it was advertised as a less stable sidewinder - a description along that line would be great!)
