Is it me or is this years USDGC rocs going to confuse everyone? I'm pretty sure that the general consensus was that the special blend is the STAR plastic. But this years USDGC rocs list special blend for some stamps and STAR for others. Add this from the zonedriven site:

From which Roc-molds are they made?

It was intentional to make the Rancho Roc more like the Original San Marino. Over the years the Ontario version/stage became less and less stable and more like a Shark. The Rancho was tooled to address this problem. If we renamed the Roc something like Cro, there would be an issue. Different is also relative. Roc fans can certainly tell the minute differences in tooling, but even with the tooling changes, it would be difficult to tell some of the original San Marinos from some of the Rocs we are making now.

slightly different from the second. The Star Rocs are slightly different from the two SB Rocs. The first SB version was in a Ontario configuration. The second SB version, was semi Ontario. The Stars are in Rancho. What you can expect from the flight is another matter. This, you can get from the USDGC site, but generally all of the SB and Stars, are straighter flying than their Champion counterparts, I am told.

sorry dave i'm a little confused. are you saying the SB rocs for this year are made from leftover plastic from last year? and STAR is a new batch of the plastic?

My posse was pretty upset when I read that other partners have been ordering rocs for 3 days before I "stumbled" across the info buried deep in the zonedriven site.
Weren't they supposed to contact the partner package people before the time they could start to order? That's what we were all told? I"m confused... |

I got mine yesterday as well. But, they were not selling them until this morning. I ordered mine an hour ago. I can't wait to throw a gold Roc.

DX. But between Star and SB; no difference for me. I like both better than Champion.

It's too bad they chose to immortalize hole 7 at the Winthrop University course, with its heinous artificiality. I can think of many other holes at that course more worthy.

Hey Dave, are you planning on running big bead Star Aviars and if so how far out do you think they are? If they mold up without feeling too bulky/domey that could be one sweet approach disc or putter. thanks

Hey Dave
I have a small request to ask you. I have been looking for overstable midrange disc for long time. Innova does not have one, and I ended up brought Drone and it helped with my certain situation shots. All in my bags are Innovas and I am feeling like a traitor. Please make overstable midrange disc for all Innova fans! a small request

I had the same problem, so I switched to a ch. gator. This disc doesn't go quite as far as the drone, but it works perfect for me.
