Upthread, Dave stated both the Star SL (L mold like the Pro Starfires) and the Star Starfire (regular more stable mold) will be released, i think by March. It would be nice to see a list announcing which discs will be released in STAR plastic and when -- but probably nothing is set in stone...

10up, there will be a Star Shark, but I think later in the Spring.

Yes, Star SL will be first in January. Regular Champion Starfire. Star Starfire will be later in the Spring, I believe. Nothing is set in stone, but Star Aeros and SLs are running now.

Dave,
I was just going through some newer stock and noticed that I had a Pro Firebird marked FB. It resembles the FX mold to a degree, but the bottom half is considerably more "shallow" and has a lower overall profile when compared to a Champion Firebird and it's also missing the small "lip" on the outside edge. Any clues? Happy New Year! Mike Barnett |

Donny, I think there is variation like all candy type plastic. It's mostly new to me, so I don't really know yet.

Mike, the Pro Firebirds were all FL type. Your description sounds consistent with that. FLs will be run in Star plastic in the future and marked as FL. Firebirds in Star will be F(X)molds and marked FB.

Dave,
It's definitely not an FL as there is a pronounced "curve" to the underside rim. It has the same profile height as the other FL's but not the same rim configuration. Maybe I'll drop it in the mail. Thanks! Mike |

steven, the newer Beasts are the L mold and are less high speed stable and have more carry. They are not a disc you would want to throw into a wind unless you expect a turn. The original DX Beasts were not that different from Orcs, in my opinion, and that is why I changed them.

The order of Star run is a combination of what was in the machines at the time, what we needed, and what we think will be most popular. I chose the Aero as it had a slight retool and I thought the Star plastic would be perfect for it.

You mean aero's? I don't personally...but I know some of our top advanced guys use them on tight/technical courses.

Hi Dave. I was wondering about the ratios for X outs in the Star plastic. Is it better or the same as Champion and Pro? Also, when will Star X outs be available and will all X outs now have the Innova factory Second stamp or will the X stamps continue?

Hi Chase. The ratio is about the same. Maybe a little lower for Star. Pro has the least rejects of the three. X outs should be available now. I don't know what stamp they will have.
