Thanks for the pump..we are having a great time -- myself, Marcus, Greg, Kurt, Alanna, and Curtis cruised an awesome Flymart last night. Bell's players' party tonite.
I played Victory park twice yesterday which is my favorite of the 4 course rotation I'll play in the tournament. By holding both Pro and Am worlds, the tournament organizers really had to use some sub worlds standard courses IMO -- like Coldbrook- and some temp courses that are a bit bland. Rounds 2 and 3 today.

Victory is nice and groomed through a popular public park with some pretty water holes.
The jewel of the tournament however is the 9282' par 66 Timber Ridge course. The course is about the vertical size of the IUP College Lodge but with a few more open ski hill shots. The very best holes on the course however, like IUP, are the woods holes that play around the course. I played a practice round there on Saturday and the hot score of 55 yesterday is SICK!!! The front nine is a fairly straightforward par 30 but the back nine is a BEAST - it measures 5500' with a pro par of 36 just for the back nine holes alone!

Nice shooting Alanna. Looks like Marcus has some tough competition in his division!! And as for the courses, imagine - - - -Moraine Gold, MOraine Green, Knob Hill, Deer Lakes, Economy(18), and the finals at North Park which would inevitably draw a crowd.

That hypothetical course selection might work for Pro-only or Am only.....but it wouldn't be enough courses for both pro and am worlds combined. J Gary needs to get busy and build us more.....

or you could just put those Schenley baskets on the driving range. 300ft, 400 ft and 500 ft. Pro/Am...oh boy. Now that's something I'm pretty sure we can't handle

its still unofficial, however, Kurt told me with the 903 rated 3rd round Alanna has recorded her first ever 900+ round.
I believe Mr. Poole himself has made a personal best as well. 56 for round 2 is unofficially rated 1000. WERD SON! have fun and keep at it yinz! |

Think those ratings are a bit off as some ams played different courses. I know 2 days ago, that round was only listed as a 968. But if it was really 1000, then NICE SHOOTING........either way. Keep it up Alanna.

I'm finally done with Worlds...played last round this morning.
OK, enough about me...Alanna is playing really constant. Has to make up some shots to make the finals but anything can happen. But fifth is in her reach. And yes those round rating in the Am field are not right. |

So how funny is this. One of Alanna co-workers was checking out her scores daily, printing them out, and posting them at her desk. Apparently the IT department was notified that this employee was wasting time on the PDGA's website, so they blocked it. Now no one from S & T Bank can access PDGA.com.
I thought it was funny... |

proxy avoidance is pretty high up on the security list. I'd wager her work would block that site too.....
