Note for those making Enterprise reservations - not only do you need the 17D7907 code, you also have to enter your corporate code. We used PDG and it brought up the PDGA.

Yes, that is correct.We found this out by someone calling our office. It says to enter the first three letters of your "corporation"...which would be "PDG".

this Enterprise discount will only help you out during weekdays as I found out today by calling three separate Enterprise locations in my area (Pittsburgh, PA)....

during weekends Enterprise runs discounted rates and the corporate code does not apply to that offer. If you take the weekend rate it comes out far cheaper than with the PDGA discount.

It's possible the PDGA discount will help for weekend rates at airport Enterprise locations which usually don't have the same weekend deals you can get at suburban locations.

Do we get any sort of discount through Microtel? They didn't seem to know what we were talking about when we stayed at a Microtel on the way back from the Vibram Open. Never got a discount.

As for the enterprise deal, I have used it 5 times and it has saved me over $75.

Microtel, as a corporation, offers a PDGA member discount. Unfortunately, most Microtels are independantly owned, and therefore are not obliged to offer the discount. I've gotten the discount before, just advising the manager that Microtel offers a discount, and he honored the discount, which I said was 10%.

I was able to take advantage of this discount this weekend. I stayed at a Days Inn while traveling on a non-disc golf trip. I received a better price at that hotel using the PDGA offer than I could get at the online sites I checked. Plus I did not have to purchase the room to get the best price discount: I simply held the reservation with a credit card. Next time, I will save my valuable time by calling first.

I saved money plus I helped the PDGA. Unlike the Microtel or La Quinta offers, most cities in the US have one of these hotels.

I've been having problems with the Wyndham discount. We're having a tournament here next weekend and I posted the discount on our page along with the reservation # and the discount code. I got some calls from members saying they couldn't get the discount because the code wasn't recognized. Luckily I talked to our local Days Inn and they worked out a discount for me locally.

Hi John, thank you for promoting the discount...or trying to. The discount will only reflect when using the toll-free number or the link. Did you use these? It sounds as if you did. Reminder: You are not able to receive the Wyndham discount by just "walking into" the hotel or calling the hotel directly. LaQuinta allows this; however, Wyndham does not. I will contact our representative to find out if he can tell what went wrong. Good luck with your event!

I am in Cincinnati this weekend to play Idlewild and see a Steelers game and am staying at a La Quinta, using the PDGA discount. The room is very nice, on par with a Marriott or Holiday Inn Express. I stayed in a Microtel near BWI and they did not offer the discount. I will never stay in a Microtel again. The walls and ceiling were paper thin. We had to get up at 4:00 to catch a 6:30 flight to Mexico and I got almost no sleep. The guy next door was watching porno all night, someone upstairs had kids jumping up and down on the bed and running up and down the halls and I am pretty sure that the person above us was a call girl. Not to mention that they really aren't that great of a hotel. The only plus was that we were able to leave our car there for a week free of charge.[img]/msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif[/img]

Yes, I thought that'd be convenient. I had several members call/email asking for the codes while on the road...and then sometimes our website is down and members can't locate them. (But we are working on that too!)

Oh dear! What a nightmare of a night. Sorry to hear that. I suspect one will run into a bad hotel every now and then. Not all Microtels are like that so don't worry!

Just want to also point out that Microtel and Hawthorn are not yet in the discount program, but will be added next year. I will keep you posted.

Sorry to hear you did not have a good experience in Baltimore.

I have stayed at many Microtels all over the Midwest and all were great. (This was before the hook up with the PDGA) They were well priced, conveniently located and clean. The only drawback for me is they don't have swimming pools or hot tubs.

It only works when reserving a CAR.

Are you trying to reserve online, over the phone, or in person? Is there a particular location that is not accepting the code?
