The place to be this weekend is Codorus State Park near Hanover, PA! Jay Gobrecht and a small group of volunteers have built a disc golf mecca which includes not only 54 holes, but a permanently installed miniature basket course! There's no organized golf in the 'burgh this weekend, so click here for details on the Codorus Spring Pro/Am.

I applaud Jay Gobrecht for offering all of the divisions that he has listed for the Codorus Spring Open.
It would be great if more TDs would do the same.

O man O man I am so torn

I have heard nothing but good things about this course (actually courses) and Jay seems like a great guy whom I just met last weekend. I'd love to support his efforts.

It's just that I have to get up early Sunday and move into my new apartment. I still have so much to do to ready myself, but it's this one thing, disc golf, I cant stay away....

so I decided that Codorus is out of the question as much as I dont want it to be. I got nothing done last night in regards to my move and that screwed my chances of rolling cross state. I am however going to move Deer Lakes' baskets Saturday and play at least a round at the DLDGC. If anyone wants to join in the fun let me know.

I'll also probably do some work on #15's B pin. I want to utilize that location soon, mainly cuz I'm just bored.

Codorus - If yinz have never made it out there yinz are missing a disc golf mecca. 54 holes...How can you go wrong with that. Some are short and easy, but then some are long and challenging. If you think hole #15 at IUP College Lodge is tight, you should see, I think hole #3 on the Cross Country Course. It's way tighter and even longer than Blue to B pin at the lodge. Jay G. hosted Alanna and I Friday night and he wasn't even there. All in all - Great Course - Great Host - Good Times.

Mr. Pooleyosis Consistant Here!!!

And if you haven't check the scores, Lady Swank took 5th in Intermediate Men out of 16. 8 out of 9 rated rounds well above her current rating.

Now if there was only a way where I could let her play as me???

josh that logo is sweet, but will not be able to be printed on a disc. The large black areas are too large, you need to add some dots or texture to them. When you print a disc, there can't be any solid areas bigger than about 1/3 inch by 1/3 inch

thats just a little something I threw together along with a few others. Thanks for the info tho Chris, as I am going to be getting something together for the Hunt here very soon.

Actually, that would make a sweet stamp, eh? Maybe I will work with it more to see what I get.

maybe I'll go for some brown chickens and brown cows sighted in on eachother.

Josh it would be a sick stamp!!!! You could easily male it work, there are some tricks to be done for those large black areas. The only thing I would change is the computer looking type for the date. It just doesn't quite flow with the rest of the image.

Man I sound like my old VisCom teacher now.

I'm excited for this weekend.....Moraine Monthly is tomorrow and I can't wait to get up there and see leaves on the trees. I don't know about you all, but it seems like it's dark and gloomy for months....then a few blooms and flowering shrubs start appearing in April....the BOOM!....everything is freakin' GREEN! I'm so glad spring has finally sprung.

Default Shoot the Breeze???

Who's going? Alanna, Stella, and I got our rooms reserved at the Edge-O-Town and I think Gotcha did the same. Fun course, good times, and a fountain in the parking lot of the hotel. How can you go wrong?

If you are not playing in a PDGA event this weekend, check out the local dg action in and around the 'Burgh:

Deer Lakes Monthly ~ Saturday, May 24
Singles @ 10:00 am ($10 entry fee / all divisions)
Doubles @ 2:15 pm ($ 5 entry fee / random draw)

1st Annual Disc Golf Summer Kickoff Classic ~ Saturday, May 24
The Washington County Disc Golf Association cordially invites you to participate in the first ever disc golf tournament in Washington County, PA! This newly formed club is in the process of building/designing a permanent course just south of Pittsburgh and the tournament this Saturday is a fund raising effort toward that goal! Very reasonable entry fees with trophies and prizes to be awarded to the top finishers.

For more information on this event, click this link: http://www.wcdga.org/

Timberlink Open ~ Sunday, May 25
Disc golf on a real golf course! That's right, folks....you can rent a motorized cart, pack a few cold ones and play disc golf on a traditional ball-golf course! Late last year, a Fly 18 disc golf course was installed on the grounds of Timberlink Golf Course in Ligonier, PA (across Route 30 from Idlewild Park). Sunday's tournament will consist of 2-rounds of disc golf with lunch provided by Fly 18 owner, Reese Swinea. Please note that Timberlink does not sell alcholic beverages, however, players are allowed to bring their own (please drink responsibly). If you can't make the tournament this weekend, plan to play the course any other time......Timberlink is open for play throughout the spring, summer & fall.

This inaugural event is sure to be lots of fun. For more info, check out the Timberlink Open thread.

2008 Knob Hill Course Championship ~ Sunday, June 1
The PFDS proudly presents the Course Championship at Knob Hill Community Park in Warrendale, PA. This one-day, 2-round tournament is the place to be on Sunday, June 1! Trophies will be awarded to the 1st and 2nd place winners of each division and there will be lots of great CTP prizes for the players. This event is a fund raiser and 100% of the proceeds will benefit the upcoming Scholl's Bicycle Center Pittsburgh Flying Disc Open. Last year this tournament raised $695.00!

Mark your calendar so you don't forget the date! We need your support! For detailed information, please visit the Knob Hill Course Championship thread.

Good shooting this weekend....wherever you decide to play!

Im ready for ASHTABULA!!! Just signed up and am ready for my 8th year in a row up there. Too bad I always play like crap there. But at least we won't have 60+ MPH winds this year with rain coming down sideways.
