I finally got out to throw them today and from my style of play I have to wholeheartedly disagree.
I am more than happy to chalk up the disagreement to the way I play though but these Ace Race discs are far more overstable than a Wizard. I find my soft Wizards are great for touch shots because they glide well and hold great anhyzer lines. The two Ace Race discs I have do not glide well at all. I have to muscle them to keep them airborne. However, I can get them to drive further than my Wizards and are very consistent for hyzer bombing. On an occasion I got them to hyzer flip but I could not do it consistently. Throwing level across the chest often just drove them into the ground. If anything, these discs made me think of what it would be like to turn a beat Drone into a putter. They fly similar, just not as fast, as far, and maybe just a tad not as overstable. As for being a putter, I am probably going to stick with my Wizards. These just did not seem to agree with the wind well when I tried to float the putts in. If I tried to power them I had no accuracy. I did notice as a huge upside that if they did hit the chains, they stuck. I have had huge issues recently with putters blowing through the chains or hitting the pipe and bouncing out. These new discs grabbed the chains like no others and stuck. That part made me really happy. As for using them in the Ace Race, these drive fairly consistently, and I was very pleased with my hyzer results for holes 200 to 275 feet out. They should make the Ace Race very exciting and they could turn in to reliable driver putters once they are a little seasoned (why else would you want to try out a putter for the race ace?). |

Is that the Ace race disc? If so I will have to order a few since they will be legal for USDGC.

I'm not sure if this has been asked before, but...
Are there any plans for a FLX Zone? I love the Zone for extreme spike hyzers, and short drives, upshots, and putts into awful headwind. The Zone may not get the attention of other releases because it's not exactly the star of driving practice. But, for what little my opinion is worth, I think the Zone is one of the best golf discs out there. It really filled a hole in my bag. It's awesomely predictable and great for golf. I would love to see it in my favorite plastic. |

Ace Race putters were well received this weekend in Birmingham.
When will the production runs start?

After checking the approved discs list, there are only a handful of possibilities... the one the makes sense of the sticker would be Phantom Light (part of the sticker reads __XOUTPL) - would still like to get a confirmation on that though.. I'll snap a profile pic later..

Might not be illegal if it is an Eclipse, Shadow or Tracer or something like that. Those discs would be more in line for that year.

I heard they may be in the player's pack at the Memorial, not sure if they are plans before that or not.
It seems there might be the same consistency issues that other wide winged discs have. One discrafter says his is overstable, and another can't throw his in the air because all it wants to do is roll. |
