Yeah but a Production run would be nice! I am glad to hear about production FLX Drones since I lost my only one this weekend but the Z drone is a lot longer and more versatile.

From the website the phone number is 248-624-2250

or if you click the contact button at the bottom of www.discraft.com you can email them through the webstie. Surely that will work.

varying opinions, a friend of mine called it a leopard X and i thought it was closest to a TL. for me it flipped up from hyzer, rode flat, and faded slowly. i max out at 400' with a surge so TIFWIW and YMMV.

Low profile, overstable. Kind of between a Zone and a Challenger. Kind of like a Rhyno but the groove on top is not as pronounced.

Are they just prototypes right now, or are they being produced as a regular run?

Andrew Throw a Ringer Tueday night. (from the am national's player pack)

he thought it was more like a XD than a Rhyno.

But he only got to throw it a couple of times.

I've tossed both Z and ESP. Both have very little high turn, Z has none, and both have minimal fade. They are like a Star TL with a bit more speed and less glide. The plastic on both is the bees knees. The ESP is stif and the Blue Z is SUPER DUPER close to old Z, think pearly 1st run Buzzz and Crush. These were going in the 380ish range with a couple in the 400-410 range.

Just wanted to say the Stalker is a great addition to the bag for Discraft! Wow, what a nice flight this thing has. I threw it yesterday in the field for about 15 minutes in light winds and it held a sweet line and had a small hyzer at the end. I throw about 375 to 400 with my Surges and this disc was very close to that distance with a straight line. The main difference is the line it will hold, flew sort of like my beat up surges but did not have the huge hyzer skip at the end.

It is very comparable to a Buzzz flight, but easily goes 50-100 feet farther. Thanks to Discraft for another great addition to the bag, you all will love it when you get one! :-)

Default fairway driver/ new tracker

....for those who have thrown the Z and ESP Trackers, how do they break in? Do they become eventually like the Player's cup Trackers? Do they ever really fit Discraft's description of "a longer Buzzz?". I'm skeptical, because I think the straighter Buzzz description is more applicable to the X Tracker than the Zs or ESPs.
been having similar struggles. yes, esp trackers break in for me but then they fall off the map and make better short rollers. i'm trying the z for a longer lasting solution but i'd have to spend some time beating a tree cuz these guys are piggy.

discraft's comparisons of tracker to buzzz are pretty far off (unless you're talking x). apparently they think so too as now they've lifted the same comparison and substituted the stalker for the tracker.

smitty tells me discraft has done a slight retool on the tracker and the new stamps outa be closer to the players cup version but i've had no luck. i'm hoping someone out there can tell me which colors in z are going to be less overstable out of the box. my pretty pink z with the new stamp is more like a slightly seasoned pred.

i also have a couple stalkers on the way (jokes abound) so we'll see what happens there. are there any heavier weights of players cup trackers still looking for a home?

thx,
brandon

I have to agree with Schick on the Stalker. It holds a beautiful line and it has now replaced my Buzzz in certain situations. I tend to try and overthrow my Buzzz and tend to turn it over with a bad release. Now I can just throw the Stalker at normal power and it holds a straight line with a slight hyzer at the end. So...no more cranking on my Buzzz for those 310ft shots with little room for error...I can just fire a Stalker down the middle.

Brad..since you are very familiar with Idlewild...I found three shots that the stalker is perfect for...for my arm anyway. #8 off the tee...the tight tee shot followed by the needed slight hyzer at the end around 280ft. #15...from just past the signs...say the 380ft to the basket downhill...which you are rarely here...but that 380ft downhill to the island green is a perfect shot for the Stalker. #16 off the tee for the short basket at 310ft. You go right down the middle...don't have to worry about turning a Buzzz over..you can just fire the Stalker down the middle...and the late hyzer finds itself under the short pin.

I tried it on #18 tee as well..but brand new...the Z Stalker was just a tad too stable and put me in behind a tree on the left side...I'll keep throwing a Buzzz off the tee here followed by the forehand roller.

I got an esp Stalker about a week ago and have really been enjoying it. I've never really carried a "fairway driver" in my bag but this seems to have found a spot in my bag. At 80 percent power released flat on a line about 8-12 feet off the ground it flies straight for about 325-350', the fade is really small which has been great. I have been using it to replace shots where I would try and muscle a buzz the same distance. When I have tried throw it with more power I always have thrown it at a hyzer angle and let it stand up, but it does that well and then just seems to glide very straight. It's deffinetly gonna be getting more play and seems to have found a spot in my bag.

oh yeah...rhbh, drives at 400-450

So they retooled the Tracker even though the Stalker just filled the void? If so I am going to need to stock up on the Yellow Zs. Even though they last forever and only 2 have been needed in the bag in the las 18 months it would be nice to have more on hand for a super money fairway disc with good HSS and a good slow fade.
